This is my first post and first trip to CBR. Wife, son and I stayed at WL back in April of '02 and now we have an extra :cool1: .
There will be 4 of us (41,40, 6 and almost 3) and I know from all of the threads about CBR that the ideal locations for the big pool and food courts are the Martinique and Trinidad North buildings so I will request one of those. Does anyone have a recommendation on which of those villages will be the best? Also, is there just a main parking location and then someone takes you to your room or can you drive to your village? We will drive down from S.C. And lastly, we have not made ressies yet but it will be the first week of Feb, '06, how is the weather down there at that time of the year and can you swim in the pools and what about the crowds at the parks.

Hello and Welcome! I'll just say that each village has their own parking area. When we stayed at CBR we were in Trinidad North room 3308 and we were able to look out our window at the bus stop. We liked the location as far as the bus stop went. We drove our car too and it was nice having the car parked so close to our room. Even though we were so close to parking the landscaping is very lush and it was peaceful and every morning there were ducks outside our ground floor room. The previous guests must have been feeding them (which I wouldn't recommend).

For us, Trinidad North was still a bit of a walk to the food court. Nice grounds though. You'll enjoy it - especially in Feb. We were there in July and it was a "hot" walk to the food court.

Have fun planning! :sunny:

Trinidad North and Martinique Villages are preferred and cost extra nightly. Many like Jamaica since it is across the lake and a short walk to the main pool and food court. You might want to read the two CBR FAQ's listed below.

CBR is a beautiful place to stay. The pools are heated so you should be able to swim.

We just returned from a 6-day stay at CBR -- it was great! We stayed in Martinique (2549) which was a great location to the Martinique beach, the food court, and the main pool. We will gladly return! My 2 sons and I went, and they are 14 and 11, so they could wander around some on their own.... When we return, I'll be requesting the same area again -- it was great!

When my daughters were small, we stayed at Martinique - Building 24 or 25. This is now a preferred section so it will cost more per night but with small children I think it is worth the extra money if you can afford it. Martinique is very close to the food court, main pool, and buses. There are parking lots by each of the villages for your car. Now that my daughters are older - 15 and 17 - we stay at Jamaica, Building 45. We enjoy the short walk over the bridge to the food court. We use the bus service and have never had a problem with it. I don't know about the weather in February because we go in June or July. Have a great vacation.
