Hi, all. I am rather new here. I signed on last year and posted once or twice, but we postponed our WDW vacation until next year, so I haven't been back on. I know I will find a wealth of knowledge here.

First off, we are thinking about going either MLK weekend or spring break, leaning more towards MLK weekend. My question is, have any of you been that weekend and how crowded is it? Plans are to go down probably a couple of days before and stay the weekend. I know it will be crowded, but will it be very bad?

Also, has anyone stayed in the condos near WDW? Dh wants to look at those to save money. Are they worth it? We will have five adults and three children (6, 4, and 2 at the time) with us.

TIA for any and all info.

Welcome!!! :cheer2:

Bumping this up for others who may have been there at that time or stayed in the condos.

We haven't been MLK weekend, but I have actually heard that it's not that crowded (and that Spring Break is very crowded). It might be a little cold, but we actually enjoyed the weather during our December trip.

Isn't MLK day in January? If so, I think it is a great time for you to go and the temperature is not too bad, if you don't need it to be hot. My family went at the end of December and the weather was lovely, except for the odd bit of rain.

Friends of ours went at the end of January, which is an off season type time. Not nearly the crowds you would get at Spring Break. Plus the cost is cheaper to go then.

I can't say about the condos, but it may be cheaper for a larger group. You might want to inquire directly with WDW about group rates and that sort of thing.

Don't forget to book your Advanced Dining Reservations once you have booked your trip. The prime times go very quickly. Your kids would probably enjoy a meal or two with Winnie the Pooh or Cinderella. You can make your ADRs up to six months ahead of time.

Good luck and have a wonderful time!!!!!!!!
