Just curious after planning our trip yesterday.. How do most of you plan your trip???

I normally plan which days I want to spend at each park, then what we want to do for meals and then fill in the extra days.. Is that about normal?? How do you decide which park you do first??? Second???

We always start the trip off with MGM, probably because its our least favorite and most unpredictableof the four.. Sometimes we spend 3 or 4 hours there and are ready to leave, if thats the case its easy to hop over to Epcot.. Other times we seem to enjoy it more and can spend the better part of the day there, which if thats the case its easy to still jump over to Epcot or the Boardwalk for a nice dinner..I suppose if we can get what we want done at MGM on the first day, it makes the rest of the trip easier to plan...

We start by planning around special events, like MVMCP, MNSSHP, etc; then around EMH days; plug in PS and fill in the rest.

On the mornings of the EMH, what do you do for breakfest?? When we go on vacation we always get up and have a big breakfest to get us thru to dinner, with a light snack for lunch.. If we hit a place like Boma's or Whispering Canyon at 7:30 when they open, we miss the EMH.. Seems like its a matter of it being a trade off, wish the resort restaurants would open at 7:00...

We pack breakfast foods..............cold cereals, pop tarts, muffins, juice boxes, etc. You can eat while you are getting ready and make it to the EMH. Then we eat lunch and dinner out at the parks or at the Resort.

We plan our days around early entry.

If we are staying on site, we plan to go to early entry, then if we need take a break at the hotel in the afternoon, and go back.

If we are staying off site, we skip any park with early entry.

I also try to save Magic kingdom for a day or two into our trip, so our son doesn't think every day is MK day. However, he loves Epcot, so that us usually our starting park.

I happen to love MGM, it is my favorite in a lot of ways, so that is sometimes the first park.

But activities happening at the park do dictate first...
