Hi Everyone,
Well, I've pretty much caved about a BBB makeover for my youngest, who will be graduating from kindergarten, when we go to Disneyland in June 2012.

Now, I feel I need to plan or do something SUPER special for my oldest daughter, who will have graduated from HS in June 2012. She's a super kid and is graduating from an early college high school at 16!

So.....I need suggestions....she's not a frilly, girly-girl....but she not a tom-boy either. I'd like to give her a special experience or purchase her something very special....

Thanks for any suggestions.

How about the Fantasmic dessert package? We really enjoyed it for our anniversary last April. I think it was about $60 per person. A little less for kids age 3-9.

From one 16 year old high school graduate to another, please tell her I say congratulations!

I don't know how they did it, but I've seen this happen before. At Goofy's Kitchen, it was someone's 21st birthday, and I believe a mother or a friend gave Snow White (in Goofy's Kitchen at brunch) this big hat that said "Happy 21st Matthew" and had her round up a few more characters and they all attacked him and congratulated him together and did a big dance at the table. I don't know if (or how) that's possible, or if that's something she'd enjoy, but 21 year old Matthew seemed to enjoy it! Maybe try it with a graduation hat and tassel?

Also, maybe see if you have "new graduate" pins for her? Or if the park has any? Maybe they'll give her special treatment that way...

I hope that helps!

Wow! Thanks for the suggestion. I plan on calling to make our reservation, I will see what is available when I talk to the CM. I know that last time we went we were celebrating my youngest daughter's birthday and the made it very special for her at Ariel's Grotto (we had lunch after her makeover).

I love Disneyland because they do that for you just to make it every bit as magical as they can :wizard:

Also, if you are staying at a resort hotel, maybe have them set out the Mickey rice krispies and chocolate coins on the bed, and if you make a special Disney grad purchase for her, lay it out on the bed with a sign that says congratulations (name here) when you first "check in"? (Of course, you'd run up to the room first and set it on the bed, haha)

We were in the same situation last summer with my wonderful Honors student. :lovestruc I bought her a Dooney and Bourke Disney purse in one of the Main Street shops. She loved it and has been carrying it for a year now.

Hey, that's a good idea too...I will have to check that out. I don't know much about Dooney and Bourke but do they have a smaller purse with a long strap that would sling over the shoulder and across the front of a person? She's into that kind of purse. :-)

Thanks for the great ideas....keep 'em coming! :yay:

Congrats, all my kids have graduated from High school and college(AS/AA degrees ) 18 or younger. One is now a senior at the University of Washington, she just turned 20.

Thanks! She's a great kid....hard to believe that I've got a kid smart enough to graduate high school at 16 and just a few units shy of her AA degree. Good thing she's adopted....lucky kid doesn't have my academically challenged genes running through her. LOL LOL:rotfl2:

We got ours at the Main Street Emporium at WDW. They've got to have them somewhere on Main Street in Disneyland, though! I'll be there later this week and I'll check it out. Does anyone else out there know offhand?
