Hey everyone...

We are traveling with a group of about 20 people...Im the "Tour Conductor" so to speak. I was hoping some of you seasoned Cruisers would have some ideas of things we can do together as a group, besides the nightly dinners. We are going on the Eastern on Oct 15, 2005 - thank goodness I still have plenty of time to plan.

Thanks so much for any & all input!!!

How about planning a scavenger hunt? Have your group seek autographs of fellow cruisers (not associated with your group) who share a common birthday, or someone who has cruised DCL more than 5 times, etc. What a great way to make new friends (or possibly enemies!?!)

A photo scavenger hunt can also be lots of fun. You need to have at least 2 or 3 folks along that own digital cameras.

Are all the folks in your group the same age or do you also have children along with you??

They are all adults - with the exception of maybe 3 kids - one under 3yrs and one 3yrs and one 6yrs). Digital Cameras will definately be available - tell me more about the Scav. Hunt

Thanks

A hidden mickey hunt would be fun too. I'm sure all the Disers here can help you figure out where they are so you can be specific about the ones seen and the ones missed. This would be a great way to get to know the ship better.

Have fun.

belly floping contest at the mickey pool would be fun for adults. LOL lots of activitys for everyone to do. there is even shuffleboard and other fun games to play while at sea.

I don't have any ideas right now, but I just wanted to say that we'd be on that cruise too!

There is a thread buried in the Cruise meets list at the top of the Crusie forum, if you are interested!

I've got all kinds on ideas for a photo scavenger hunt. You divide into teams, and give each team a digital camera and a list of things they need to get photos of. You can assign different point values if you want to according to how difficult the photo is to obtain. Then set a time limit and a place to meet back. Each team is sent out to get as many photos as possible in the time limit. If you assign point values to the photo's the teams will need to do a little more strategizing (sp?). Here's a partial list of some of the photo options. You can make up some of your own.

1) Using "human letters" get a photo of your team spelling out "DISNEY".

2) Get a photo of all members of the team blowing a bubble with bubble gum.

3) Get a photo of someone on your team shaking hand with the Captain.

4) Get a photo of some one on your team dressed as a princess.

5) Get a photo of someone holding a map from Walt Disney World.

6) Get a photo of some one on your team shooting a basketball.

7) Get a photo of a male on your team painting his toenails.

8) Get a photo of a shoe tower with all of team member's shoes.

9) Get a photo of the entire team forming a human pyramid.

10) Get a photo of 4 team member wearing life jackets

11) Get a photo of a team member wearing a DCL CM's badge.

12) Get a photo of an adult inside Flounders Reef.

13) Get a photo of a team member with Mickey AND Minnie together.

14) Get a photo of a non-team member cruiser that is over the age of 75.

15) Get a photo of a non-team member who shares the same birthdays as one of the team members.

After the time limit is up, have the teams meet somewhere to show the photos and award the points.

We did this with our church youth group (but not on a cruise) and it was great fun.
