I am sooo excited!!!!!!!!!!!! I scheduled my planning session yesterday for July 28th at 9am! We are going to do the tasting then also! I am sooo thrilled! This will be my only time at Disney before the wedding, so does anyone have any good advice for me??? Questions I NEED to ask??? Please let me know anything you think I will need!!

Thanks guys!

you will be asking questions from now until your wedding. Most of them will come from after the planning session. you can do this by phone. Just relax and in the next 2 weeks start writing down any questions you may think of because you will forget when you get there. (at least a few of them.) You will have plenty of time to make changes ask questions, and make your wedding perfect in the months to come. And you should be excited. :bounce:

Hi Jamie!

Congratulations on scheduling your planning session. Here are some tips I've compiled from my own experience and that of other brides.

Things to do ahead of time:

- Request a cake tasting.
o This is not automatically included in your day! You’ll need to ask your EM to set one up for you. He/she will then ask you to select 3-4 cake flavors and 3-4 fillings.

- Request a food tasting.
o Again, this isn’t automatically assumed by your EM. You’ll be asked, again, to give some insight into the foods that you’re interested in tasting – your EM will need this list about two weeks in advance of your session so he/she can pass it off to the chefs at your resort.

- Request to be able to visit your ceremony and reception locations at the end of the day.

o This will be after you’ve discussed everything surrounding your day… and it will help you to tie everything together beautifully! This is a PERFECT time to take pictures too!

Things to bring:

- Your wedding binder/notebook/folder etc.
- PHOTOS!!
o Bring as many as you can spare, and be prepared to leave them there! We made multiple copies of my dress, floral pictures, cake pictures, swatches, lists, etc - as we met with several floral vendors. This way we didn't have to worry - and we knew each possible florist had everything they needed. We ultimately went with Raining Roses

- Business cards.
o You’ll receive cards from the floral/entertainment/food folks, and it just seemed logical to me to have some sort of way to let them contact you directly as well!

- A sample bridesmaid’s dress, if possible.

- Any items that you’ve already accumulated, that you’re planning on using in your wedding.
o This could be invitations, programs, ribbons, you name it! We had candles, ribbon, a sample pew bow, our invitations, etc. This was important to letting Disney and other vendors exactly what we were trying to achieve.
- The answers to any outstanding questions that you have from your EM.
- A list of things you’re interested in finding out more about.
o This could be anything from a dessert party, to confetti cannons, to ficus tree prices – you’ll have so much time that day, and they’re there to give you immediate answers!
- A camera, and TONS of film!
- Paper/computer to take notes with!
o This is if you want to take notes on any to-dos or follow-ups after the session

- AN EMPTY STOMACH!

Most of all, just be prepared for an awesome day – relax, enjoy it, and have fun!!

Wow!! So much to take in. I have been talking to my EM and my head is boggled with info!!
