Today was our planning session!!!!!
After all this time collecting pictures and planning... ok.. obsessing
I finally got to put it all to use.
We left the house around 10am, and i forced justin to listen to all my disney cds on the way there! hehe.. well its not the disney cds he minds so much.. its more me singing part of your world over the music 5 times in a row
Welll we got there a few minutes late which i was freaking out about .. but all was well. Our planner Meri went and got the van while i excitedly wondered around francks.
Where i found our place card holders
>
were doing an aqua blue bow instead.
Meri came back with the van and we were off to our menu tasting at epcot. They had a table set up for us in the kitchen with all the diffrent napkin folds, we choose the fan fold because it reminded me of a sea shell.(perfect for the LSS)
Then it was on to dfs favorite part
THE FOOD.

*Graphic food porn images ahead*
*you may get very hungry*
We started off with the coconut chicken tenders..
these are my favorite things ever. Justin couldnt believe out of all the fancy things we tasted these were my fav.. but what can i say? ive never outgrown my love of chicken fingers.
they were really sweet and delicious.. mmm
Next we had the asparagus stuffed lambloin and the beef horseradish thingys (thats a technical term btw)
Justin loved these.
We decided to keep the lamb but not the beef since horseradish isnt something everyone loves.
I love how on the lamb the carrots are little hearts
Then came the crab cakes with mango chutney.. mmmmm
we decided to make these our appetizer.
The mushroom filled pasta was very good but not anything spectacular in mho
Justin loved it though
Our first entree was the parmasean encrusted chicken brast and the beef filet with a red wine demi with asiago mashed potatos and veggies.. OMG this was sooo good. I wish i could have eaten it all but i was starting to get full and we had a few courses to go.
our second entree was the salmon filet in a soy reduction with the pork loin and mushroom rissoto.
Sadly i forgot to take a picture due to justin spilling soy on himself and me getting distracted trying to clean his yellow shirt before it stained.
It was very good so were going to give our guests a choice of the 2 duo-plates.
Then came the glass slipper sorbet.
Meri said that since we dont have a ton of guests the ice slipper might loose some of its wow factor. Its more grand when a bunch of servers come in holding lots of glowing slippers. Shes right, so i decided to just have it for justin and I and keep the 19pp for something else!
they also served us sorbet in a martini glass
it was good but im more of an icecream ben and jerrys kinda girl
THEN the white chocolate slipper.. i was so full by now but i still ate the whole thing, it was delicious. I wasnt expecting it to be as good as it looks, but it was !
hehe
After all of this we stopped in the LSS to take another look before i started the planning.
Im glad we did this, it made me remember why i love the living seas. Its so beautiful
^ u can see the soy sauce stain!
we went back to francks and got down to bussiness. We decided on the rolls royce for us and the limo for our bridal party
we also have the charter bus for 9 hours.
We went over all the wedding details, and did the cake tasting
we decided on almond cake with rasberry filling, vanilla with white choc mousse and strawberries and choc cake with amaretto.
MmMm
Then it was floral time!
Laura Kidd is our florist, I think this must be good luck because we have the same name
She was very sweet, I really like my planner and florist they were alot of fun. The hours flew by, even justin enjoyed himself during the floral meeting lol.
I had a huge folder of pictures with floral inspiration.
We decided on full bloom cream roses with aqua crystals tucked in for my bms,and some white hydreanga for fullness. (will go on cake table @reception)
and for my bouquet im having cream and blush roses with a few white cambodiyum orchids and a few starfish crystals.
for our altar arrangments im having the white crystal micky unity candles with two arrangments like this on each side of the pew
then behind them will be 3 varying height cylinders with a floating camboydium orchid stem in them. (this will all transfer to our head table along with my bouquet)
We them chose a pretty sparkly pixie dust overlay for our linens and a fabric asile runner with petals scattered on the sides.
Im sure there was alot more but my brains on info overload.
Then we decided to have jackolanterns as our centerpieces for our DP (its oct 23) with purple bat confetti on the tables!
For our farewell breakfast at ariels im having pink and aqua linens and floating gerber daisys as the centerpeices. I want a mad hatter theme.. but im not sure if it will look right in ariels. what do you guys think?
Soo i probably blew my budget
i guess i can always eat ramen noodles for the next year lol. It'll be about a month untill i get my beo. I had such a great time and i cant wait untill the wedding!!!!
