I feel so intelligent. :headache: I miss-counted.

Our PS will be 60 days from the wedding. Oh geez . . .

The estimate is 3-6 weeks for changes to the BEO from the planning session. Would that still be too close?

DF and I are currently planning to go to FL with my parents the last weekend in October 2012 for our planning session. I see the date that the remaining balance on the BEO has to be paid will be two days after we get back. That's too close for any updates, and I don't want to be way overpaid or underpaid at all.

Would it be possible to have a phone/e-mail planning session earlier to get down everything we want and have 95% of the BEO down, and then do the in-person planning session just so DF can see the locations and we can taste the food? (We also were planning on scoping out photo locations in MK and around the MK loop.)

TIA!

Is Oct 2012 30 days before the wedding (that's when the remaining BEO amount is due) or are you talking about the minimum expenditure payment which is due 90 days before?

We had our planning session after our minimum expenditure payment was due but we knew we had to spend that amount anyway so it didn't matter that it had to be paid before.

30 days before the wedding is right after we would get back. Were planning on going the last weekend (Sat-Tues).

I think that'll be fine, it takes a few weeks to get your first BEO back after the planning session so you'd have that by end of November latest and then if you make any changes right away you should get the new BEO back by the 30-day mark. Then you can make your payment with no problem!

We had our PS right after the 90 day point, we had our first BEO about 3 weeks later in April, changed a few things, got a new one a week after that and made the final payment at about 45 days before the wedding.

The planners know when things need to be paid and make sure they get BEOs out in time. If it's cutting it close I'm sure your planner is aware.

Thank you! That makes me feel better.
