Planning session question

We are hopefully booking our day on August 8, I was wondering how soon is too soon to go on a planning session? We were thinking of going for FDH's birthday at the fist of September. If we go this early would be missing out on anything?

I don't think you can do a Planning session until you have signed your contract (DFTW says a PS between 4-6 months prior so you can get accurate pricing). But you could certainly do a site visit once you contact DFTW
