DF and I are going down to WDW for our planning session on Dec. 27. I have been having issues coming up with ideas for our menu tasting. DF is a very picky eater  The sample menus I got are great but have a lot of stuff that DF will not eat. Our reception is at the Living Seas Salon and a dessert party to follow in UK.

I am looking for any and all suggestions for our menu tasting at the end of the month. Any help is greatly appreciated.

TIA ;)

What time is your reception? Brunch foods, dinner? Also, what won't DF eat? This would help us narrow it down.

Also, if DF is the picky one, maybe he could be taking a more active role with suggestions/favorite foods to help you out! :thumbsup2

It's a dinner reception. He's a meat and potato kind of guy. He has tried to take part in this but he is stuck on the menus and doesn't get that we can change things. I was just looking for some ideas of the foods you may have had or are going to have or tasted.

i would specifically talk with your planner and write his preferences on the planning sheet. the chefs that you work with will have options you never thought of. what are his favorite meat and potatoes meals? by talking with your planner and expressing this on the planning sheet, i can guarantee you will end up with something DF likes and a menu that will appeal to guests. even at the PS, they are taking notes and getting more ideas, so just because he doesn’t like something there he thought he might, you aren’t stuck.

:thumbsup2

we're having the chicken/filet duo plate with garlic mashed potatoes and asparagus. The chicken was okay but the filet and the garlic mashed potatoes were soooooo yummy!

My fiance and I's planning session is December 28 =] the menu tasting is what we are most stuck on as well! We are having a 10 am ceremony but we are having a pre-reception so the meal won't start until noon. We re trying to figure out a good combination between brunch foods and lunch foods. It doesn't help that my family is like 'We want bacon!' and his is more for lunch foods, haha.
