Hi, I'm new to these boards and Disneyland. I am planning a trip for Sept 22-27 for myself, husband, mom and 4yr old son. I was wondering if anybody knew about things that might be closed that time of year, or when they do fireworks etc. We want to try and see the fireworks, but I'm not sure what nights etc they will be doing them that time of year. Our trip dates are flexible but we are looking at the end of Sept sometime. I haven't been to Disneyland in about 25 years so any help would be apprecitated. Thanks!!

Congratulations on your trip! Here's a few random thoughts.

In Sept the HM will be re-done to the Nightmare Before Christmas theme.
There's likely to be more refurb's going on, so there maybe rides that are down during that time.
The fireworks and F! would probably only be on the weekend nights. (Although I think I remember reading that F! would be down for refurb anyway)
Mickey's Halloween Treat should be going on.
Since it's "off season" there should be a smaller crowd.
The parks will be decked out for the fall season. (I really like the decorations at this time.)

Be sure to check out Hydroguy's threads (in the sticky's above). He has more details and some great advice.

Have fun! No matter when you go, it'll be great!

I agree with most of previous poster with the exception of crowds. Yes the crowds are low, especially at the beginning of the month once school goes back but as you get towards the end of the month and Halloweentime decorations are up, the parks definitely see an increase in attendance. But still, my favorite time of year to go. DD is off track in Sept. so we go many times then.
