We're American DVC members who've decided to go to Disneyland Paris to celebrate our 10th anniversary next March. :cool1: Our first time... After having read a guidebook and doing lots of googling, I still have a few questions:

1. DVC Members - we're planning to stay 6 nights at the Disneyland Hotel in a combination of DVC Points and cash. (I know it requires two separate reservations.) My question is this: Have any other DVC members done this and if so, did you end up having to switch rooms during your vacation?

2. I would like to schedule a nice Anniversary dinner... We've eaten at the California Grill in Florida a few time and I am wondering if it would be worth it to eat at the California Grill in Paris - or if there's another restaurant we should look at? Suggestions would be most appreciated!

3. We plan to spend two days in Paris itself (using DLH as our home base.) I see there are excursions available from Disneyland - but it looks like they don't start until April or May - Does anyone know if that is accurate? It's our first time in Paris, and we'd prefer to be escorted on the first day if it's possible.

I posted here ages ago to find a good guidebook and you all gave me great information - I have no doubt you'll be able to come through for me now!

Thank You!!

We have not been san the kids so have not made it to California Grill. But in all the reviews this is the one dining experience that we would love to do at DLP :goodvibes

bump... I've resolved the restaurant question but could still use any guidance anyone has on the other two questions..

I thought the coach trips around paris ran most the year? But, from what I have read, its very rushed and you dont get to really stop and take in paris. I think you would be better to hop around on metro and have a little adventure yourself

Hi,

I can't answer your questions about the split reservation, or the tour of Paris, but wanted to let you know that booking for March via DVC opened on monday morning, I made my reservation for 6th to 9th, and was told that they only have limited availability from DLP for March, so to book early and be flexible with hotel choice and dates.

Are you aware that you will have to buy park tickets through Member Services at the time you make your DLP booking?
Have you decided which days will be cash and which will be points, as you can book room only direct with Disneyland Paris, so wouldn't have to pay for park tickets on those days?

Hope this helps.

Hey RCDisneyFan! Greetings from Indiana! We too are headed to DLP this year (May 27-June1 and then London June 1-6).

This board recommended getting the Brit's Guide to Disneyland Paris. I had to order it online, but it is great!

We also thought about the excursions because we are also using DLP as our "base", but it didn't allow enough time to take in everything we want in Paris, so we will take the train and do it on our own. We're finalizing some plans over New Year's, but know we're getting the Museum Pass. I'm told by a colleague that the best benefit of this is getting access to public restrooms!

When are you going?

Sooo jealous of your stop in London too!

We're going the week of March 15th...two nights on cash and 4 nights on points. I've had the Brit's Guide for months (thanks to this board!) while waiting for DVC to publish their conversion charts. *grumble, grumble* I'm making my reservation today!

Hmm...access to restrooms, might be worth the cost of the museum pass! :rotfl:

Thanks for letting me know about the limited availability - it let me convince my husband that I NEEDED to reserve the DVC nights today. :yay: I haven't booked the cash nights yet, but I know what they are, and that they're available. I can't call France from work to book the reservation, so I'm waiting for Small World vacations to come back to me...

we were there last march and the cityrama tour to paris was available.
as they have already said, u wont have any time to browse by yourslef around paris. basically, i wouldnt do it again next time id rather go by ourselves.they take u to see a lot of places but most of the time is spent in the coach.
