Hello! My DH and I are planning our first Disneyland trip and going to be staying at VGC Feb 9-12 2017. Current DVC owners for 3 years. When looking at the Disneyland site I'm learning there seems to be no equivalent to the my Disney experience. I was however looking at the advantages that you get booking a standard hotel/ticket "package". Is there anyway to link or DVC reservation to the 3 day park hopper tickets we plan to buy so we can get the benefits of the package? Is this done online (if so we can't find where on the Disneyland website) or is it possible to link the reservation to the tickets by calling? We tried looking up our hotel reservation with the DVC reservation number and it doesn't work. Or is this just not an option? Also if anyone can point us to resources on perks/advantages we get with DVC during our stay, that would be great too! Thanks! (and sorry if this has been asked a 1000 times already- fairly new to the fourm).

What advantages are you seeing that you want?

No there is no way to create a package for a trip booked with points (just like at wdw).

With admission and an onsite stay you will get early entrance (no matter what they call it) to Disneyland or dca every day you're there. (The early days are on a schedule, so when they say dca is early you can go there and when they say dl is early you can go there)

Welcome Home :goodvibes
And welcome to DIS Boards.

There is no way (and no reason) to link tickets and lodging at DLR, very different than WDW.

GCH pools (shared with VGC) will be down during your visit, but you will be able to use the pools at DLR and PPH (pool hopping is usually not allowed).

It is a good idea to make a view request, particularly with the pool construction.
Advice about view requests and many other details are in the VGC Superthread :teacher:

If you are in a DVC studio you can get free laundry card (with multiple washes/dryer) at the front desk to use for the laundry room (first floor around the corner from the "DVC" elevators). I get the card at check in, as it can be insane to get in the registration line up again just to get the laundry card.

Maybe it is just my experience, but because there are so few DVC rooms in the "hotel" I don't feel you get that "Welcome Home DVC" vibe as at WDW. I don't think I have ever heard a cast member say welcome home to me during our stay at the Grand Cal once.

I'm not aware of any special deals for DVC aside from the discounts for food and merchandise. I've never stayed at DVC resorts at WDW, so I can't compare, but I love it anyway. As Nonsuch says, most of what you're used to at WDW as far as parks is not applicable to DLR. Enjoy the ability to walk everywhere without waiting for transportation and bounce between parks multiple times during the day based on whims or FP times.

On the DVC membership website, go to 'Explore Benefits', then 'Member Benefits and More'. There aren't a lot for Disneyland but there are a few, like the member tour of Soarin'.
