Went to the WDW website, and for some reason you can't plan for a trip in 2006? Am I doing something wrong?

Guess the rates haven't come out yet?

Okay, so I will use this years rates as a guide.. so in figuring out the resort pricing.. you have to add Florida state tax AND the county resort tax to the total? Which do you add first?

Last year we stayed at Shades of Green.. no tax! :goodvibes

you're not doing anything wrong. you can't book anything for 2006 online yet. if you call, you can book a room only ressie. at rack rate for 2006, but that is it. 2006 pricing will be out sometime in "early summer", or so i was told. CM qualified this by saying "june or july". so until then, all you can do is book room only, which means a deposit of 1 night @ rack rate. rates will be adjusted when 2006 pricing comes out. also, you can switch ressie to a package if you want.

hope this helps!

I just booked a group trip for my family (10+ rooms) today and I was told by our Disney planner that rates are going up 5% next year for all Disney resorts. Also tickets are going up 10%.

prices may be going up, i would expect that they would, BUT if you book for jan. 2006 now, they quote you regular season rates, when it is actually value season. so unless they change january to regular season, even with a rate increase, the nightly rate you actually end up paying should be less than what you are quoted. hope that makes sense!!
