planning my first trip

I just joined DVC and want to plan a vacation for the first week of June 2008. I'm wanting to get a 2 br villa 'cause I'm bringing my sister and her family along. Since I'm guessing the beginning of summer is a popular time, it is the best bet to book with my home resort SSR so that I can do so 11 months in advance? My family and I are interested in booking at either ALV (my parents are coming to and want to get a seperate reservation. They really only want to book at AKL) or booking at OKW.
What would be out best option?

Book your vacation at the 11 month mark and you can call and see if anything else is available at the 7 month mark. that way you have a reservation if nothing else is available.

Make sure you have your home resort res. In June of 2008 they might not have may of the phases for AKV open yet, but will prolly have sold points for the unfinished phases. Which means it might be kinda hard to get res there at the 7 month mark.
