stop it! calm down you!

ok so me and my bf are planning a trip in the beginning of september, ok rewrite. Im planning a trip and my bf is going with me, from 31st of august to 9th of september, the cheapest flight was at this time::yes::

So the plan is to stay at the Darkside from 3-7 of september, mon-fri. We think we want to go with HRH, being that we are both 24 and relaxing is not planned :p

So i have no idea where we can stay before and after staying at the park, that is rather cheap but i dont have to worry about being murdered in the middle of the night:crazy2:

Also what should we do, and see, ive been to Orlando twice before but my bf has never even been to the States, so im not sure :confused3, also we are kind of on a budget, being that we are university students with not alot of income.

Any suggestion are appreciated :)

Are you wanting to stay around Universal or do you want to visit other things?

i'll give you tips later, first i have to say something.......

make your trip for october, same dates.

i'll be there and will be your guide............::yes::

Maybe you should stay near the Florida Mall or perhaps on I Drive where there is the trolley.

transportation from where we will be staying and the parks, the flight from iceland to florida is almost 1000$ per person  but we are saving for that and the parks:cool1:

how long will you be in florida for your vacation?

are you planning on visiting other places besides the darkside?
or will your entire visit be the darkside?

it will us tell you what could work for you on housing

right now the plan is to arrive in Orlando(think its Orlando International MCO) around 6pm, thursday 30st of august and the flight home is around 3pm, sunday 9th of september.
Planning staying at HRH from monday 3rd til friday 7th of september.
So we need to stay somewhere else from thursday 30th of august til monday 3rd and then from friday 7th til sunday 9th.

My mom was suggesting staying somewhere near the airport at least the second weekend.

The primary reason for going around that time is because the rates for HRH are quite nice:)

We know nothing about transportation in Orlando, we where thinking of just taking a taxi but isnt that really expensive?:confused3

I wouldn't recommend staying near the airport unless it's just for the night before you leave. You are too far from everything you'd want to see and a cab would be very expensive both ways. You might want to look at places across from Universal that have shuttles...you wouldn't need a car then. There are restaurants and stores around you or in walking distance. The rates would be comparable to any airport hotel w/o the extra cab fare and you're very close to the parks.

We stayed at a Holiday Inn one night. Hotel was in a nice area, very clean, came with a free continental breakfast in the mornings (they even had eggs, sausage, biscuits), free shuttle to the park and was very close to US/IOA. But the rooms are basic and small. We're talking not a real bathroom door, one of those slider pocket doors. If you don't mind being in close quarters it could fit the bill. I think it was under $75 a night. Just make sure you get this Holiday Inn: http://www.hiexpress.com/hotels/us/en/orlando/mcomb/hoteldetail there are two of them, you want the one with the Blues Brothers in the lobby. :thumbsup2

Try the LaQuinta Inns that are right on or just off of Universal Blvd....they are clean, nice, and have great free breakfast choices...the rates when we went were between 69.00 and 129.00 a night. They also have a shuttle service and cab service to wherever you want to go....hope this helped!:cool1:

ok dates have changed due to us getting a cheaper flight, so we will be staying in Orlando from the 6th og september until the 17th. So we will be arriving on thursday and leaving on monday. Both of the arriving and leaving day will be traveling days.
Now im wondering should we stay at HRH at the beginning of our trip so maybe from friday till tuesday,7-11th of september, or from wednesday till sunday, 12-16th of september:confused3

We are planning about 5 days at the Darkside, tho its not set in stone :)
