I would love some help/input from you experienced WDW goers about our Christmas party day coming up! We have tickets for MVMCP on Nov. 29th. We do not have park entrance tickets for that day since I was thinking that we would not need a park ticket for the day of the party, since we can enter MK at 4 PM and stay until midnight and that's probably enough park for that day...
So... we are staying at POP, and we have breakfast ADR (will be more like "brunch") at 1900 Park Faire at the GF at 11:30, and then the party at MK at 4 PM.
We'll have a car, so my plan was to drive to TTC at around 10:30 AM and park and take the boat to GF for the breakfast, and later monorail or boat to MK. I think we'll stay at the party until the bitter end, then boat back to TTC and drive back "home" to POP. Does this sound like a good plan? Or do you have some other suggestion re:transportation.

My other question is - any suggestions for the interim hours between our breakfast and MMVCP? I figure we'll be out of Park Faire by around 12:30... and we'll have 3.5 hours to kill before we can enter MK... I thought of touring the monorail resorts to see their Christmas decorations... any other suggestions?

Sounds really good. But I'm not sure there is a boat from TTC to GF. You could walk or monorail.

You could also valet park at whatever monorail resort would be easiest access after the party (CR perhaps?), but that costs extra for not a huge time savings.

For the interim hours - I would monorail to MK and boat to FW. Stretch your legs and take advantage of the ponies and playground. Then take the resort boat to WL to see their tree, hop back on the boat to CR or MK depending on how much time you have left. In order of best decorations - GF, WL, CR and Poly. I don't find the latter 2 to be terribly impressive.

I'm told to be in the bag check line by 3:30.

Oh, I forgot to mention we are just two adults. That's probably good advice as far as getting in line at MK at 3:30... although I hate just standing around waiting for things to open. Perhaps if we DO wait until 4 the line will be "flowing" by then? hmmmm

I believe the 3:30 suggestion is because it may take that long to navigate security due to the large number of people who try to take advantage of 4pm entry.

For 2 adults you could skip FW unless you just want the fresh air. I would suggest a cocktail from one of the lounges, but they don't open til late afternoon.

Perhaps make the loop including the WL detour and then be sure to stroll through Poly on the tail end so you could grab a Dole Whip.

I agree with 3:30, security can take a little longer than you would think. As for the time to kill definitely go into all the hotels for the decorations, this could take a while. However, I'm not sure it would take 3.5 hours, so I like the idea of going to FW!
