Hi All - (I posted on the other board and got pushed down to p.4 in a matter of hours, with no responses!)

So I'm lucky enough with my recent DVC purchase to be planning 3 trips and when it comes to planning my first trip with DBF Nov.2-5 - I feel clueless. He hasn't been to WDW in at least 15 years and is still mourning the loss of Skyway and 20,000 Leagues! I got him to agree to go for F & W to see David Cassidy cause he's a concert buff but of course he's never seen Fantasmic or Spectro or anything else. And yes, we plan on snacking and drinking through WS at some point! And he loves coasters...:scared1:

Too short a hop for doing it all, and while I'll be spending 2 weeks there in August w/ my kids, then back the first week in December and I can plan all that - I'm at a loss as to which to prioritize!:confused3 We will also need some downtime and tho energetic for our age...I wouldn't want to hop to more than one other park in a day( I don't think!?

We're arriving by noon on a Sunday and leave by 3 the following Wednesday, staying at BWV and waiting for my middle night to be unwaitlisted. Decided not to do DDP. There are planning geniuses on these boards, so I'm asking for your wisdom.

Suggestions? Warnings? More info?? Thanks so much - this trip is really special for me and I want to make it the very best!!!

Honestly, we saw David Cassidy last year, I made it through 2 songs before I bailed. Not sure if he was drunk or what, but he was a total lounge lizard.

We do love to hop to other parks. We start the day somewhere else, and then head to F&W in the early evenings. It's too warm usually to relax, slowly stroll and enjoy all the booths during the day. If there is an EMH in the evening at Epcot, it will be insane!!!!!!!!!! I'd probably do Fantasmic on Sunday and wait until Monday evening to hit the F&W.

Thank you Soooo much, Erika!!! I believe you about the lounge lizard assessment - I'm hoping we can be there and head off to Jellyrolls or Atlantic Dance Club instead...

Am worried about insane F & W crowds in WS but there's plenty to choose from since DBF is a newbie and my goal is to have my two favorite things all to myself for three days - so all will be well.!!!

Thanks again!!!

I wouldn't worry about the crowds. Just wait to go until the weekend is over. We go in mid October, and the weekends are nuts, but the weeknights are just fine!

I'm not sure about the review of David Cassidy as a lounge lizard performer but he does draw large crowds. No matter who is performing i enjoying sitting in front of the American Adventure with a cold adult beverage if nothing else but to people watch.

As for F&W crowds, the only time when i felt the crowds were too large to enjoy the festival was last year on a Saturday night. The food lines were the biggest problem.

Is this your first festival?
