Planning help for FoF parade

We have a 2 and 4 year old and will be at the MK in mid-April. We are having lunch at CRT and are staying at the Contemporary. My original plan was to go back to the hotel right after CRT for a nap for the kids. However, the new parade looks awesome and the kids were entranced by the video of it. If we make it back to the hotel by 1ish, what would be the best strategy for seeing the parade if the kids rested/napped until about 2:30 or 2:45?

I think that's going to be too late. The parade starts at 3:00 and while it does start in Frontierland, with it being a new parade and with mid-April being peak crowds, I think Main Street is going to be packed by 2:30.
