planning for next year

My dad called me today and said he wants to go to Orlando in March next year. Doesn't matter which week, as long as spring training is going on. Plus I don't want to go anywhere around Easter. What would be the best week to go crowd wise? Or will it be crowded no matter what in March?

I think the earlier the better in March as far as crowds! We'll be there late Feb/early Mar next year. I think most spring breaks aren't until mid March and later.

We went from the 10-17 this year, the weather was mostly great(2 nights a little cool, but better than snow), and the parks were starting to stay open later. But with Easter being early, I don't know how much this will impact. The schools in our area will not be having extra days off, just Fri before. So I don't know it Easter will be as bad as it is in April with a spring break attached.

Easter will be on March 27 in 2005. It would be advisable to avoid the week prior to and the week following that date.

Your best bet would be to go in early March.

They usually start in very early March and run up to opening day. Looks like the first game this year was St. Louis vs. Florida Atlantic (Colleg or Univ) on March 2nd.

Since you're from NH (like me-and hopefully a Sox fan) you may like to know the Sox opened up on the 4th against the Twins).

I believe that the schedule for the Braves comes out late December. My husband does not book our yearly Disney trip until he knows how many games he and my son can go to. This year we went March 9th through the 16th last year March 12th through 19th. The Magic Kingdom, in my opinion, is always busy. The rest of the parks were manageable. I also believe that the earlier in March the better but if your father wants the games this might not work. Good luck. The planning is half the fun!!!!!
