planning for july 2005

I am planning a trip to Disneyworld in July 2005 for about 10 days. I am just now starting to do the research, and I have not booked yet. I have been reading a lot about discounted rates if you are a AAA member or an AP member. Would it be worth it for me just to become a member of one or the other to get the discount? There are three of us going, me and my two sons, ages 10 and 11. Also,I have read a lot about the conceriage level being wonderful. Would it be stupid to buy the dining plan if I planned on staying on this level? Lastly, would it be better for me pricewise to book directly at disneyworld website or through one on the travel agencies? Thanks
