Hello everyone this is my first time writing. I have been looking to book a trip at P.O.R.S for july 2005. What does anyone think bout the wish packages? Thinking about the silver! package vs. no package, more economical? :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

I think it depends on what you use your wishes for. If you are just going to use them for food, I think you have a hard time making out with the wishes. I priced a discounted room and was very generous when allowing for food for my DH and me. Plus, I counted in the rounds of golf he plays each year and we will save $$$ going with room only and paying for everything else as we go. Of course, we never do water parks or pleasure island which I think your length of stay passes include. Plus, we buy AP and get 2 trips out of the passes each year. So, my advice would be to sit down and decide what you are going to do with your wishes and then add up what it would cost you without the wishes. You can get menus on line with prices so you will also have a fairly good idea of what your food will cost. Have fun planning! PS Welcome to the board. You can find all sorts of neat info here to help with your trip planning. It is always good to find a fellow PA person here on the boards!

First and foremost aplejax76.... Welcome to the DIS.....

The packages at WDW are created to make things a little easier for you, it isn't to save any money, and in some cases, it costs more then if you would have made a room room only reservation and paid as you went.

Before I purchased a DVC contract, we always went with the Grand Plan or whatever they are calling it now-a-days. For us it just made things easier but it always cost more then if we would had just gone the pay as you go...

Cost the vacation out.. room only, entrance media, budget for food, drink, a t-shirt here and there and then see if you save any money using one of the packages... remember you can advance purchase your park tickets and that will save you a buck or 2 as well.
