Hi all, so we just got back from CSR and we loved it. We loved the food court, our room, the pools and hot tubs and we don't mind having to walk outside to get places. We liked the laid back feel of the resort. We are now planning for an upcoming December stay (likely a week or two before Christmas). We were possibly thinking of staying at CSR again, but possibly somewhere new? We didn't mind the Disney buses and we took the monorail to Chef Mickey's and Kona Café from Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Looking to stay in moderate category, I am looking into the Port Orleans French Quarter, but open to other ideas. Stayed at CBR once and did not like it. Looking for a similar feel to CSR, opinions on French Quarter? Thanks so much. My fiancé liked CSR so much he wants to see how it will be after the Tower is built, but I'm thinking maybe somewhere new? Open to others ideas as well. Liked the look of the Swan, but heard mixed things about it?

We love the size of French Quarter. We've stayed at CSR a couple times and have no complaints but French Quarter is so peaceful.

If you are looking for a small quiet resort POFQ is definitely it! You also have the boats to DS and it is a short walk over to POR.

POFQ is our favorite resort and we've stayed at AKL, BC, and YC before. It's very compact, the theming is quaint, and the overall feel was just relaxing to us. Plus, you get the boat to Disney Springs and you're the first to get picked up/dropped off out of the Port Orleans resorts. Sometimes they end up not going to POR at all, though. It's an easy walk over to POR if you want a change of scenery and you can use their pools, too.

I like POFQ a lot but if you want a resort with the similar feel of CSR with the choices CSR offeres, POFQ is not going to work for you. It is a lovely compact little resort with a relaxed jazzy vibe. It is my favorite moderate. With that said, it is a small relaxed little resort. There is no TS restaurant there, although the lounge is pretty darn sweet. The pool is a wonderful pool for kids.

I would suggest POR if you want more amentities and choices.
