Yesterday I was talking to my brother who is stationed (Navy) far away. Turns out he will be in FL for training while we are at WDW. He thinks (Big IF) that he might be able to drive down and join us for the weekend.

SHould I try to change my ADRs on the off-chance the military will grant him the leave? We'll be on the DDP during free dining, my brother would not have DDP. I've made all my ADRs for 2 adults, 3 kids. Would it be more of a problem to show up with a 3rd adult, or to change ressies to 6 and then show up with only 5?

I am so not sure what to do since this is all so iffy. Any thoughts, suggestions?

Reservations for six where only five show up shouldn't be a problem. Reservations for five where six show up may be a problem. You can't "change" your ADRs, though, you must cancel and rebook them, so you wouldn't get the same times most likely. However, going from 3 to 4 or 5 to 6 should be the same table size, so.

Hi - Just a heads up that. AFAIK, ALL persons in the room must be on the same package with tickets and DDP - FDP or not.

Last year, FDP, I added DS(15) at the last minute and paid for his park tickets to match what we had.

This year, we are paying for DDP, and DS(31) may join us from AZ if he can get time off. When I talked to CRO yesterday, I asked for the price to add him to the existing ressie, should he join us. I'm not even thinking on the ADR's yet...

Many here are MUCH better versed on this than me, so please correct me if I am wrong...

In any case, I hope he does get to come and the family is happy!!!

Thanks for the replies. My brother would not be staying with us. We're already maxed out on room occupancy and he would be only there one night (vs our 7) so I wouldn't add him to our ressie anyways. His plan is just to crash at a Motel 6 or the like nearby the park. He'd meet us at our hotel in the early am. We're not planning on using any EMH's, so that wouldn't be a problem.
