Planning for a march trip...

we're doing our first WD trip the second week of March (yes, probably when all the other spring breakers are, too, can't help that) and wondering what to expect of the FL weather that time of year. Plan on doing capris or jeans for morn and evening, shorts or capris for afternoon...wearing a light jacket that's easy to tote. (We're staying on-site so plan to take an afternoon break at the hotel)

Anything in particular you'd suggest we pack for - rainjackets, etc?

Oh, and I have been devouring these threads and forums...most of the acronyms I get - MK, AK, WCW, etc. There are some that still stump me though..anyone have a list somewhere I could read through? Thanx!

We are going the week of March 4th and I am wondering too. But it is really too early to tell. I am going to look on weather.com a few dasy before we leave and see what the forcast is. The last couple of days it has shown it to be only 50 there. But a week ago it was in the 70's.

We are usually there the last week of March and we were always in shorts. A couple morning's we'd bring sweatshirts with and take them off by noon.

I know we went at the end of February years ago, the days would always start off cool, and end cool, but mid afternoon would be fine.

I'd say if your a freezy cat, definitely go the capri route. I'm usually always hot, so I like to bring the sweatshirt with and wear shorts.

We'll be there in March too...Just wont get there until the 24th.

I say the entire month of March will be excellent weather from beginning to end .
Just in case I am wrong a lil...plan on taking a light jacket or sweatshirt you can shed during the day and put back on in the evening. Maybe pack a pari of capri's or something for cooler days or evenings.

Just to let you know we were down there last year in March and we were in shorts and it was HOT the whole time. I got a nice sun burn from the beach and my in-laws had the air going all week.

Hey, my trip is March 8-13! Looks like we'll be there at the same time.

Weather wise: I find most of the March days to be warm and good enough for swimming. At night, it can get cold -especially while watching Fantasia if you get sprayed by the water! Last time I was there in March, our time at Disney was with good weather and then we left for Orlando and it got so cold. I had only brought one pair of jeans and was freezing. I'm hoping it'll stay warm the whole time this time around. We'll be in FL from the 8th to the 17th.

We were there mid-March last year. Glorious weather! Not a drop of rain for the 18 days!

We'll be there in mid-March, too. When you say it was "hot" -- what does that means in terms of temp? I'm used to the desert southwest, where we bring out the sweaters when the temp goes below 80 degrees

You need to be prepared for anything. We were there last year in the second to the last week of March and it was in the 40's one night! I had to go buy a blanket to wrap the kids up in.

OMG!!!! To me, 70's is nice and can be hot depending on humidity. I'm coming from 20 degrees or less, so 50 wil lbe warm. Even though I hope it is warmer than that!!!

Weather is always unpredictable months ahead of time, but usually it's warm here in March. March is the last month we get any cool days though, so you might get lucky and catch one of those! Overall though, I'd prepare for some fairly warm weather. Hope you enjoy your trip to WDW!

Going Feb 24 thru March 3rd. When last year the weather was great. Nippy in the morning, nice in the afternoon.
