We're going to SW for the first time (in decades) next week and I have no idea where to start. DH & I will be bringing DD (3 yrs) and DS (1yr) and will be driving up for the day. What things do we have to do??? And how do we feed the dolphins??

TIA

I would say, make sure you do the 3 main shows (Shamu, Blue Horizons, Clyde and Seamore), and take loads of time looking round the animal exhibits. To feed the dolphins, go to the main pool (at Dolphin Cove), and it will be very obvious where to line up for the feeding experience. Cost is seven dollars.

It's too bad you can't go for two days...Hotels are very cheap right now on Travelzoo and Orbitz. Make it a weekend...

If not, definitely do not miss Believe, Pets Ahoy and Blue Horizons. Also, take the little ones over to Happy Harbour, it's fun for them. Take their suits too, they can get wet over there.

I would suggest taking some snacks. You can also take water, juice boxes, etc. Especially if you have a stroller to tote it all around in...we used to do that when our girls were younger.

Have fun, it's a blast, we have been passholders since we did not have to pay for our girls to get in. lol!

Take care,
Cheryl

Recommend the following shows:
Shamu
Blue Horizons
Clyde and Seamore
Pets Ahoy

It pays to look at the show timetable on line prior to arriving, but realize the time schedule is subject to change. So if you write down a schedule it pays to check it upon arrival. Note some shows overlap while other shows are only shown a few times a day, so it is benefical to do a little planning, especially if you are visiting for only one day. Just remember to figure in walking times and arriving 20-30 mintues early if seat selection is important to you.

You might want to go by Dolphin Cove early on to check what the specific feeding times are during the day. We always did this early in the day and I would also note some parts of the park open a little later than the front portion of the park too.
