Hi everyone! I have a few questions for our WDW vacations we're planning soon. Hope you don't mind taking a moment to answer!!

We have looked over our schedule and the best wk we can find to go for 2010 is march 29-april 2. I know this is not really a good wk to go as far as crowds go, but what are we looking at as far as crowds? Extreme, moderate, don't even advise going and need to change dates lol???

I have been looking at the different on site resorts...mainly AKL and then maybe caribbean. anyone stayed at these that can give pros and cons?

what resort have you stayed at that you like/recommend?

Thanks for your time! Just a little info...we are a family of 4, me , dh, and 2 dd's ages ( at time of travel) 12 and 6. also oldest dd has ADHD, and high functioning autism. we will be driving, not flying.

I think if this is their Spring Break week - the crowds are going to be heavy.....

I have stayed at POFQ and will now (in Aug) staying at All Stars Music. Have you thought about getting a Family Suite at All Stars Music instead of those that you mentioned?

I too have a ds that is ADHD...Hugs to you! If you are like me - keeping him busy is such a key.

Good luck and Congrats on your trip planning!

First trip!!! YEAH!!

The week you're planning is certainly not the best for crowd levels, but if you plan well you should be able to deal... May I suggest www.tourguidemike.com? His site costs about the same as a tour book, but his advise on which days to go to the parks has been invaluable!! (We've used his site 3x now - last year we didn't, and we regretted it. One year we even picked our trip dates based off of information on his site, and we had walk on for almost all of our rides!!)

As for hotels - it all depends on what you're comfortable in. I've stayed at Pop Century (2x), All Star Sports, Coronado Springs, Poly (2x as a kid), Wilderness Lodge, Grand Floridian and this year we're staying at the Beach Club... Each has it's pros & cons. We loved Pop for it's cost, and the decor was fine - and at the time we were Disney Commandos, so all we really needed was the bed. Other times, we wanted to splurge (which is why this year we'll be staying at the Beach Club which has a killer pool!) One suggestion: figure out which park you think you might go most often, then find a hotel close to it within your budget. (Although since you're driving, you don't have to worry about Disney transportation unless you want to use it.)

All the boards on this site have great information, as does www.allearsnet.com.

I'm sure you'll get a lot more information... Happy planning!

thank you so much for the info. !! keep it coming! I am wondering something....my dh and i were discussing the fact that neither of my dd's will ride the rides. my oldest has sensory processing issues so she doesnt care for the rides and most of the time my youngest doesn't like them. is the rides the only things that have lines?
