Planning F & W the DVC way...

This will be our first F & W festival since we purchased DVC.

I have an embarassing confession to make... We have never planned a F & W festival without the help of a concierge. (We always stayed at either the BC or BW club level, and the concierges always sent us event schedules and helped us book what we wanted.)

So, I find myself in the new to us position of needing to plan a F & W trip. We're already booked into the BWV for four nights, then we move to AKV for a couple of nights for DS, so we currently have 6 nights booked.

Are there any perks for DVC members during F & W except getting your room on points? (Discounts or booking advantages for anything?) If one wants to do one of the dinners or tastings, can one book through MS, or must one go through Disney Dining, or something else?

When is the F & W schedule likely to be posted, and how hard are some of the events to book directly?

No special treatment for DVC members. Last year's schedule was especially late. It's usually posted in July, I think it was mid-August or so.

Some events sell out quickly, others, like the Party for the Senses, are readily available.

Keep posted as to when the events go on sale and you shouldn't have a problem. We booked a Sweet Sunday and a food and wine pairing in Italy last year with no problem.
