First off let me state we have been going to WDW at least two times a year for the last 5 years and we never received any discount pin this whole time.
I have noticed a lot of people on this site had ordered planning DVD’s and received some sort of discount pin shortly after. So I went ahead order a planning DVD, no luck once again. So I decided to try something different. I signed up online using a different email address; I used my wife’s maiden name as well as her parents mailing address and ordered a planning DVD. When ordering the DVD is asked what month did we plan to visit. I checked off September and what do you know, two weeks later I received the magical email from Disney Destinations. It stated our DVD is on the way and here is a great offer we picked out for you in September. It was the 30% off the dates everyone else has posted.
So I gave Disney a call, told them we received the pin email. They asked for the pin, stated it was for someone else. I said it was in my wife’s maiden name and her old address. He said no problem they will update the info. We used the pin for POR 7 nights with dining and one day tickets for 2 adults for a total of $1,389 a $470 savings over rack.
So don’t give up just yet, try to get creative
