Hey everyone!! I am a long time Dis'er, but my daughter just had a dream granted through the Dream Factory. We are planning maybe the 1st week in October. My daughter is on meds & doesn't do well in heat, so summer is out for us!! Any advice or information you can share with me is fabulous!! I have been to Disney before, so this won't be a first trip, but I could still use some planning advice. :goodvibes

We are so excited!! Thanks for the help everyone!!

I have never dealt with Dream trips or anything like that, but I have been there during October 4 times. If possible, try to get tickets to the halloween party if there is one during the time you'll be there. I don't know if you've ever been to one, but they are awesome, especially if your daughter likes meeting characters, there are some rarer ones out. I met Tarzan & Jane, and Dr. Facilier last year and Mr. Walrus (from Alice in Wonderland) a few years ago.

I don't know how much that helps you, but good luck with planning everything.

Your family will have a blast!!!

My son is a Dream Factory kid too!!! And I volunteered with the organization for a couple of years as a Dream Coordinator after my son recieved his dream. They are an amazing organization!!

When we did my sons trip we went the first week of February to avoid the crowds and the heat. We LOVED the parks in February - cool, but managable mornings and nice afternoons and evenings. We just took a light jacket with us and was prepared for the rest of the day just in case it cooled off again in the evening. You didn't say where you're from but where we are, February weather is cold.....

Since our wish trip, we have been back 3 time and 2 of those was the first week of February. Our trip last year was the first week of April and it was beautiful weather and crowd levels were relatively light - not that crowds will be an issue for your family!!!
