Planning and perturbed, please help.

I have been booked for almost 2 month now and as the date gets closer (August 9th thru the 15th) I want to fine tune plans. Make a few PS arrangements, when to do what day, etc. So, here are my questions -

When will August hours of operation be posted? Is it safe to say the hours will be the same as July's?

When do you think they will announce August's E-Ride nights?

What’s up with this new EMH trial at night? If successful, will this be in effect as early as August? Or should I just expect the old morning EMH schedule to be in effect and plan on E-Ride @ Magic Kingdom only?

Lastly, and I know its off topic, I booked a Mears shuttle by suggestion of a friend and have read only horror stories about waiting for a bus or van for hours. Is it safe to say that a town car through Mears will be better (I could just call and upgrade)? Or should I drop Mears altogether?

I think that’s all I have for now, I just was getting annoyed that the dates for 90 day PS had come and I still don't know for sure what’s going on down there. Truth be told I have never planned this far in advance and worried this much, so this time I want to make sue I do it right

How many are traveling with you? I used mears on my solo trip and it was just fine. If I had several people with me, the bargain option would have been to rent a limo or town car.

I can't help you on the rest except to say we will we arriving at POFQ on August 1 and are very anxious about E ride nights as well.

The hours for August are usally posted 60 days in advance, about the 1st of June. August hours will probably parallel July except around the 4th because it is a holiday. My guess is that the e ride nights in Aug will be the same as July, since right now June and July are following the schedule of every mon,wed and fri.

In terms of transportation, unless you are alone, suggest a towncar service, either Tiffany or FL Tours.

thanks for the replies. i will be traveling with my girlfriend and we are staying at the swan. i hope that the e-ride nights are the same too. i may just go with the town car after all. thanks again.

I believe that E-nights are normally Tuesdays and Fridays.
I also am waiting for August hours. They should be out around June 1 or so.
Please save yourselves headaches and drop Mears. It is no way to start a wonderful Disney vacation. Go over to the Transportaion forum and read about the various town car options. The ONLY way to start your vacation!

I would never use Mears again! I'd rather walk from MCO than wait over an hour and then get to see every non-Disney hotel in Orlando on the way to WDW. What a crappy way to start a trip. Now we rent a car thru Priceline and it just sits in the lot for most of our trip, but it's a heck of a lot more convenient and costs about the same factoring both money, time, and stress!

I agree with MPLSDad. I would rather walk with all three kids than use Mears again! It was the most unorganized free for all that I've ever seen.

We did Mears with 6 people and had no problems. I have also used Mears several times prior with no trouble at all.

Going early in August the hours will be very similar to July's.
So will the heat and crowds
There are no guarantees for E-tickets or for the EMH.....So I would just go with what you know for sure.

Go ahead and make the PS's that are most important.....
like if you wanted Cindy's or any other PS that may be very popular.....or if you have a specific time that you have to have.

Otherwise you should be able to wait until June 1st to see the actual hours.
