Planning an entire trip just to meet Thumper! Need help on dates.

My oldest DD loves Bunnies. In our 5 trips to Disney parks we have never been able to meet Thumper. I know our best chance to find him is in the Spring so we are planning our next trip for Spring 2018. I would like to go during our spring break which is March 12-16 (we could leave as early as March 9th, maybe the 8th) and Easter is April 1st. Does anyone know when Thumper and other rabbits start showing up in the parks in the spring? Are the bunnies out two weeks before Easter, or is that too early? If that is too early, Are Easter crowds as bad as the rumors?

I usually only see him on Easter. I did get lucky one time at he was outside Animal Kingdom.

Spring Break and Easter crowds are going to be similar. Actually this year I thought the crowds on Easter were actually pretty low.

I would never plan a trip just around a specific character as there is 0 guarantee that the character will be out during your trip even if it is on Easter itself.

I know in the past he alternated with Flik in AK, but every time we've been there Flik is meeting and not Thumper. That baffles me. Surely Thumper is more popular than Flik? Right?! I've subscribed to Kennythe Pirate to try and find more information, but can't seem to nail down a regular M&G schedule outside of Spring/Easter season. Hoping someone here has some Easter time experience or another Bunny lover can share any Thumper sightings!

Thumper showed up at AK just before Valentine's Day this year, but I'm not sure if he was there at Easter this year.

Clearly, we are aware of that possibility. We are very fortunate that we are able to give this our best shot and plan to go when there is the greatest chance he may be available.

And as you see on his site, Thumper isn't a character that is currently in rotation for M&G and hasn't been in years so your odds are pretty low, unfortunately.

The only Thumper I've seen is in the Bambi display during the Flower & Garden festival.

Just thought can anyone confirm if they did the Easter day parade this year? I know it is just a car full of the bunny characters but I can't remember if it happened this year or not. I know Mickey in his Easter costume was at Beach/Yacht Club and then Goofy was at the Boardwalk but that was the only easter stuff we saw.

OP you might get lucky this year as it is a big Anniversary for Bambi. Not sure how many years. Pandora just announced it's fall/winter collection to celebrate. Bambi and Thumper are individual charms that will be available in Nov. No specific release as of yet. Good luck catching Thumper, he is my favorite too and he is very hard to find.

Not Thumper, but bunnies ... my cousin and his family met Mr/Mrs Easter Bunny this year the week leading up to Easter. I believe that they did a M&G in Epcot right before you head into WS and they were dressed up in pastel clothes. If you do a google search you can see what they look like.

I don't know about Thumper, but we go at Easter and have met Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny in Epcot. I'd love to see Thumper, though!

I didn't even know that meeting Thumper was a possibility! We will be in the world late November, and I just booked. A spring trip for myself and my mom for the flower and garden show! Hope to see Thumper!

OP, Thumper and Miss Bunny are at Animal Kingdom this weekend, 8/25-8/27/17 from 10:20 through 4:00 outside Conservation Station.

I take that to mean the train ride to nowhere. It's going somewhere now--to Thumper and Miss Bunny.

Hi OP! A little off topic, but I thought of this thread today - I was at Gap Kids/Baby Gap today, and they have a Disney line that includes some cute Thumper items. Not sure how old your DD is, but thought you might like to know!
