Planning an engagement at WDW...please help!!

I am planning on asking my GF to marry me on our next disney trip. It is coming up fast. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas about good places to do this? Also if anyone has done this and can give me some pointers or advice on the place to propose. I really apreciate your help!

How exciting!!!! A good place to pop the question is the wishing well on the right walkway to the side of Cinderella's Castle. Or you could go to your favorite resturant at WDW and do it.

My Fiancee' proposed to me during the wishes fireworks.. We stayed back a little ways from the crowd that night and he did it right as they started. It was sooooo sweet... I cried like a baby... It was certainly a night I will never forget. Make it somewhere that is special to you both there at the park. I know that those fireworks were always special to us and now they are even more special....

You can maybe try this: stay at her favorite Disney hotel, take her to Magic, & pop the big question at night during Wishes fireworks. Or maybe take her to her favorite disney restaurant w/ a nice bottle of wine & pop the big one. Good luck

if you have the money, rent a boat take it out into the lake to watch the fireworks, and then propose to her out there on the lake, alone, watching fireworks

My favorite place os ths cinderella fountain by the castle...but go someplace that is special to the both of you

the fireworks would be a nice touch but she might expect it. it might be fun to ask her on a roller coaster like test track or space mountain oo, oo or tower of terror right before you drop (just hold on to the ring or grab her hand and put it on) if you are into that spontaneousness and craziness. then you can add in all of the mushy stuff later

After meeting through the Walt Disney World College Program experience as Walt Disney World Cast Members, we actually got engaged in Kim's home state of New Jersey on August 1, 2006 after exactly 2 years of dating each other at her church. Then I had another special proposal in store for her when we got to WDW! I have been waiting to send this reply until after the big moment in Florida! I re-proposed to Kim on November 1, 2006 at The Magic Kingdom. Here is the story (written in third-person):

Three months after our first proposal in New Jersey, we returned to our magical place, Walt Disney World! Jason was planning another special engagement renewal moment during their visit. He had purchased a crystal shoe from Arribas Brothers in Cinderella Castle at The Magic Kingdom early in our relationship. During this trip he went to Arribas Brothers in Downtown Disney Marketplace to have the shoe engraved with “Kimberly” on the side. He also scouted out places at The Magic Kingdom and called Peter (Jason's best friend who set us up) so he could join us. On Wednesday, November 1, 2006, Kim, her brother, and Jason, with the crystal shoe in his pocket, met up with Peter and his daughter at the Walt Disney World Monorail station at the Transportation and Ticket Center. We transported ourselves to the main entrance of The Magic Kingdom. We began by walking up the street of Main Street USA to the center hub of the park. Jason slowly guided the group to the spoke that led to Tomorrowland. Just a few footsteps down the pathway and to the left Jason and Kim started walking into the Rose Garden. There is a little place where the sidewalk points directly to Cinderella Castle. When we got to this point, Jason took Kim’s hand and looked into her eyes and after some more romantic words that could only have been inspired by the Magic of Disney and the crystal shoe, Jason said, “By the magic of the Walt Disney World College Program and the Disney Organization, Will you marry me?” With the crystal shoe from his hand to hers, she said “YES” with lots of Pixie Dust all around us! And it was the beginning to living happily ever after!

My fiance proposed to me at the little garden area in the France Pavilion, where Beauty and the Beast do their meets. He knew he wanted characters to be involved, and he knew that Epcot was a better place to do it at, since the lines are more managable than at Magic Kingdom. He managed to talk to a cast member before hand and arranged for a special picture of me with Belle, the Beast and Princess Aurora. He set the picture up and then just as we were going to take the picture, he got down on his knee and proposed. It turned out wonderful, especially since the character involvement was last minute!

Hopefully you'll be able to have someone around to take pictures for you, so you can capture your special moment with your girlfriend. Congratulations, best wishes, and happy proposal planning!! I know no matter how you end up proposing, it's going to be a wonderfully perfect moment for both of you!

I was in the MK on the December 3rd and saw a man propose to his girlfriend in the "doorway" of the castle. He was singing to her and got down on 1 knee and popped the question! I was crying like a baby! lol
