Just got back from MVMCP (Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party) and am trying to figure out another trip before our Annual Passes expire. I'm thinking about MNSSHP (Mickey's No So Scary Halloween Party)...I think that's what it's called. I don't know anything about it. If you've been to it, can you share any info. you think would be helpful? I'd be bringing five kids (16, 14, 12, 9,, 7). Thanks!

I went with my Mom and Aunt this year for the first time (I'm 32) and I am planning another trip back for MNSSHP next year with a good friend because I had such a good time! The families we saw seemed to be having a blast - and we knew we were!

Don't miss the parade!

Many believe it is better than the Christmas party...we have only been to the MNSSHP...best visit ever! plan to be there during the week as the crowds are lighter and look at Columbas Day weekend as being busier too, try to avoid if possible...earlier in the month crowds lighter than closer to Halloween

We have always gone alone and this year took our 5 DCherubs-15, 14, 11, 9, 7. They loved it and had a blast. The girls 14 & 7 wore their princess gowns and the boys wore t-shirts. We have gone before on Friday and Sunday. We will only do a Sunday or maybe a Tuesday, never a Friday or too close to Halloween. Way too crowded for us. Hope you have a blast! :wizard:

We did MNSSHP in both 2003 and 2004. In '03 we went on Halloween which was sold out. Personally I'll do everything I can to avoid another sold out MNSSHP event again. This year we did the very first one on 10/1. It was a very, very good time. The crowds were really light and we did EVERYTHING we wanted to do w/o any waits. If you go, book the LTT for an early dinner. We've done this both trips and it's been a blast both times.
They have trick-or-treating stations setup throughout the entire MK. There are many, many rare characters to be found for meets, especially villians. There is of course a special parade and fireworks. There are also other special events like storytelling and fourtune telling. As well as DJ's w/ dancing in tomorrowland. It is a really good time and well worth it too.

Very cool! I plan on going in October 05 as well before my AP's expire and have been hoping it will be a good time to go. I have been early December for my last 4 trips and was really worried about missing the whole Christmas atmosphere.

We went in 2003 for 1st time. It was a blast and we were 2 adults no children. Many people, including adults, dressed in costumes. We were glad we didn't as it was very hot and muggy the night we went (2nd week of Oct). I hadn't been trick or treating in 30 years and that was so much fun! Your kids would love it. We hope to go again.

We dressed both years we went but w/ the weather in mind. Being from the Northeast almost every Halloween is frigid, it's even snowed a few times in the last few years. We have planned our costume's around the Florida temps though. Both our 10/1 and 10/31 MNSSHP were very, very muggy.

we are planning to go down this october...does anyone know when the dates will come out for the 2005 party??? i am trying to find out if sally and jack skellington make an appearance at all from the nightmare before christmas......anyone know???

We to are planning to go to Disney this coming Oct. for the MNSSHP. I am also interested in those dates so I can start our planning.

Thanks

We went on a Sunday and had a great time! We got there a little before 7 and serioously did everything they had to offer in the 5 hours; including watching hte parade and storyteller, trick or treating, riding pretty much all the rides and some twice, and taking the boat ride with the singers and storyteller. It wa awesome and I HIGHLY recommend it!

Our family enjoys the Halloween party much more than the Christmas party! Less crowded-(try to avoid the weekends if at all possible) and the trick-or-treating and seeing all of the characters in costume is very cool.

One of our most fond family memories is riding the monorail into the MK and seeing all lit up "spookily" with witches and bats with mickey ears "flying by in shadow" on all of the buildings! Very cool!

They didn't have "Nightmare before Christmas" stuff when we went- but it was a couple of years ago.

Go and enjoy- (we may go again as well!)

DH and I went to MNSSHP this year and had a blast. We are planning to go back in '05 with our girls (2 & 12). It's a great alternative for my 12 year old who is too scared to join DH and I for Universal's HHN.

I can't wait until Oct '05 :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We have been to MNSSHP the last two years and throughly enjoyed it... Min's birthday is during October so we always try and make time for the party and the F&WF...

We have also attended MVMCP the last two years... the crowds were definitely smaller at MNSSHP... we went to both parties, both years on Friday nights...

Usually the dates are announced late April or early May as well as tickets going on sale in the same timeframe. The last 2 years there were no meets w/ any Nightmare Before Christmas characters.
