Planning Advice to the People You Know

So routinely I am asked to help plan or answer questions for people headed to WDW. I do not consider myself an expert, but knowledgeable, as I have been been there 6 times in 10 years and have been lurking these boards and other sites for awhile now. When asked about WDW I typically just shoot out an email with some links to sites for them to read up on. For some people I pull out my planning spreadsheets and fill in all the projected parks times, events, and crowd numbers (via TP). Most people love that and I have been told i know more than the Disney Travel agent they are using.

So I have wanted to step things up and write up my own guide to the World that I can give to people I know looking for help. So my own manifesto of sorts.

Has anyone every done this? If so what types of things did you add and how did you organize it? If you have or haven't, what sections should be included or would you suggest?

Here is where I am at currently. My current sections are:
Why go to Disney?
Parks
Resorts
Travel
Dates to Remember
Planning your trip
Websites to visit
planning sheets

Thoughts on anything else I am missing? Any guidance would be great.

BTW not looking to publish the thing, Just want to be helpful.

Great idea! Maybe add a small section on the "extras" that can be booked like tours, BBB, pirates league, etc. :)

Wow! What a huge undertaking! I can't imagine ever doing something like that, and I live at Disney. There's so much changing so often I would start by writing things that don't change so often or won't change anytime soon. Start big then go small! Good luck!

Great idea - and I think most people on here know more than any Disney travel agent I've met in our city. Scary. I've never done it, but I do run the secret facebook pages when our team is planning an away event. Most people are really confused about how the tickets work, and know nothing about the resort perks. Those are the questions, other than competition rules, that I'm most often asked.

We also get a lot of "How far from wdw is..." questions from dads -- Cape Canaveral and Daytona are the most common.

Great idea! Maybe add a small section on the "extras" that can be booked like tours, BBB, pirates league, etc. :)

Definitely :thumbsup2 This is so unique to wdw.
