Planning a trip in August: need advice

Hello,

I am planning a trip to Disneyland on August 8th (Fri) and I need some advice on tickets and hotels. I want to stay in the Disneyland area for 2 nights and spend one day at Disneyland. There will be 4 adults on the trip coming in from overseas and I'm the only one with a So Cal ID. Are there any deals for hotels or tickets? Any advice will be appreciated.

There is the Disney promotion for Southern Ca. residents, and for residents of Baja, for $99.00 per person, for a 3 day park hopper ticket, otherwise, the best that I can tell, just pay the single admission fee.
I personally would love to buy this ticket, however, I do not qualify, for I live in the wrong part of Ca.
