Planning a trip for June 2008

I was wondering how far in advance you guys plan a trip to the world. We are planning to go in June 2008 but when do I make reservations? This will be my 4th trip but the first one I planned without help. Thanks!

We're going March '08, and I booked room only last week. The CM said to call back late summer and the '08 rates would be out, and I can switch to a package. Have fun planning!

I am also planning for 2008, hopefully May. I am undecided what to do about booking. I don't know if I will book a room only within the next month, or just wait until the packages come out. I would like to start paying on the trip now to give me more time to pay it off. I am wondering about problems anyone has had switching a room only to a package and if the money is just transferred or disney refunds you the money and you have to send it back in? This is my second trip, but the first one was booked 5 months before we left and money or hotel choice was not an issue. Thanks for everyone's help!
