I'm hoping someone here can help me out. I'm in the middle of planning a trip to WDW with my MIL and family. MIL is a retired CM with all her benefits, this will be her first trip to WDW and first visit to any Disney park since Covid. She's older and not to savy with the CM site so I'm hoping I can handle all this and not have her worry about it. DH and I are AP but MIL and FIL will be using retired CM benefits and the other 2 in the group will be using CM Comp tickets. Rooms are already booked, now it's onto the rest of the planning but being that she's using her cast benefits I have some questions.

  1. Do CMs need park reservations if using their benefits?
    1. Are they made the same as an AP on My Disney Experience?
  2. What info do I need from MIL to link their themaingate pass (not even sure if that's what it's still called) to their MDE account?
  3. How do the CM comp tickets work for linking to MDE?
    1. Are reservations required for the comp tickets?
  4. Does everyone in the CMs group that is using sign-in/comp tickets need to go to the same park?
    1. Can part of the group hop without the CM?
If there's a place that has all this information please point me there.
