Need help with downtown Disney! We've never been before. We are wanting to do some of the fun nightlife there and dinner. What time do we go at? Where should we go and what times are best for certain places? What is the best night of the week to go where there won't be too many university aged students(super busy)? We will be leaving the kids behind for the evening and will be very excited about the dinner and dancing (not that my husband can dance, very embarassing  ) But alas no one will know us!! :Pinkbounc
Any suggestions will be great!

IMHO you must check out the Adventurer's Club. It is a blast. No dancing but there are CMs who interact with the crowd and every so often everyone is herded into a "library" for a show. All of the shows are different throughout the evening. A good time to hit the club is about 9:30 pm and try to stay for a good hour or so. That way you will get some interaction time and probably have time for one main show. I am of the opinion that it is the best attraction in all of WDW. Kind of cheesy, kind of corny, but alot of fun.

Adventurers Club is cool....and if you want dancing, then go to the Rock n Roll Beach Club, they always have live bands and when they take their breaks, they have a DJ spinning and the drinks are great there too. And you hubby can dance (and goof around on the dance floor) with the other guys. It's a great place to people watch! Hope that helps! Have fun!

I would agree with RNR Beach club. Even if you get tired of dancing, you can beat your hubby in a round of pool. :) Also, I suggest you go to one of the lastest performances of the comedy club. It's very humorous and interactive...the later shows are more adult-oriented.

Thanks so much guys!! I appreciate the info. on the adventureres club, we probably would have went there too early and missed all the fun. I'm very excited, we will be there next week. Thanks again!! We will definetly check out the rock n roll club. :cool1: (my husband) hee hee

I would not recommend getting to the AC too late. They start at about 7:30 I believe, but stop around fireworks time or just after. So the last show will only be Midnight on a weekday. I like spending an hour or so in AC, then going to the Comedy Club, then going to the 70's / 80's club (8 Trax) and then RnR Beach Club with maybe a stop in for the last show at AC and back to a club. There are lots of other clubs to check out like Manequins and Motion. You can really make a night of it and find the club that suits you best. We met a great couple on this trip and hung out with them all night going to different places and lauging until it hurt.

Food is really off the Island, but within walking distance though there are snack places like the Sausage place and the Gyro place.

Off the Island, there is the dance hall that is free on the Boardwalk (Atlantic Dance Hall)
