Apologies in advance if my information is outdated or incorrect. My understanding is that at this time WDW no longer offers annual passes to Florida residents but does offer discounts on 4 day trip passes. Do my visit dates have to be decided before I look online to see what attractions I could reserve. Or could I purchase the 4 day trip pass look online, reserve attractions and then plan my dates based on availability? It would not make much sense to choose a date months out only to find a ride already blocked out for the whole day. It sure has gotten a lot more confusing in the last decade.

You don’t reserve attractions. You reserve parks. But you’re right that there’s no guarantee any particular ride will be up and running during your visit.

Yes, there are no annual passes being sold at this time but Fl residents have multiple options for ticket discounts as far as number of days. There isn’t fastpass right now, so you’ll be waiting in the stand by line for all attractions. You do need to make a park reservation. If you have the hopper option, you can use it starting at 2pm. For when fastpass does return, it’s just a way of avoiding the standby line. Even if fastpasses are gone for the attraction you want, it doesn’t mean that you can’t ride. You’ll just be waiting in a longer line.

I have been waiting for APs to come back. I am so close to buying AP for Universal, but I keep reading they will be releasing info about the new AP program so I keep holding off..
We bought a 3 day pack to WDW and used them one by one. You only need to reserve the day you are going.

Just went, bought 4 day tickets. Make sure you are logged as FL resident and double check when you get to tickets page. First you need to look at the calendars to see what the availability is for PARK RESERVATIONS ... this is on page one of buying tickets. Decide on dates. Then you can go in to purchase your tickets. Choose number of days, choose type of ticket (day, hopper, etc) and then it will ask you to pick the first day you will visit. A pop up will tell you how long those tickets will be valid for and the cost because every day is different prices. Once bought IMMEDIATELY make your Park Reservations or you might get locked out. NONE of this has anything to do with rides/attractions.

We went last week and I bought Universal AP for DS#1 and I. It was not much more than the day tickets I bought DH. DS#2 already had AP. I'm still hoping they bring back the variety of FL APs so I can get the Weekday Select. I can have that and Universal for less than my old WDW AP. We go back in October and having the Universal AP is my backup if no WDW AP.
