This is one of the nights of our honeymoon we're really looking forward to - I love Cirque du Soleil!

We're hoping to go to the 9pm show, so booking somewhere for dinner at 6pm-ish. Where would you recommend? Might be worth mentioning that I'm not on the dining plan!

The other thing is, where would you go during the day? We're staying at the Dolphin, so we'd probably need to go back to there to freshen up and change before dinner. A colleague recommended Animal Kingdom as it closes fairly early anyway. What do you think?

:goodvibes

You could eat at DTD - we went to Planet Hollywood in December and enjoyed it - hadn't been for years. Wolfgang Puck is good too :goodvibes

You could go to any park during the day - just plan to leave early! The studios and Epcot are close to the Dolphin. You could always try a water park and have a relaxing day :)

For a daytime park I would rather go to DHS or Epcot as you want to get from park to resort quicker if possible. AK is fine for you only if you want to go directly from there to DTD.

Not being on the DDP, Wolfgang Puck Cafe is pretty pricey. We are on QSDP so paying OOP for TS and we love the House of Blues. For a special couple's evening I would not do Planet Hollywood unless you are a couple who don't talk during your meal :lmao: VERY loud and the food is really fast food. Unless that is what you want - just a fun, lively evening. Not sure I would class PH as a perfect pairing for an evening at La Nouba however.

We are going for the first time next Friday - really looking forward to it :)

Thanks both!

From what I'm reading, a lot of the places to eat around DTD are quite music oriented and therefore noisy - I've seen the same criticism of PH, HOB and Paradiso 37.

Thanks for the tips about the parks too - I think we might make it a DHS day (still can't believe we have a rough spreadsheet going already with 11 months still to go!!)

We're thinking of possibly doing Cirque du Soleil too, but it will all depend on finances nearer the time.

I had thought of having lunch at House of Blues, doing a bit of browsing and people watching, then going to Cirque at 6ish.

But if we were going to the late show, I'd still eat at HOB, I love it there!!

If your staying at the Dolphin, hang out by the pool! the Bar is excellent and they have food on offer there. apparently the pool bar does one of the best Burgers in the Kingdom!:cool2::banana:

i think it depends on the kind of food you like to eat really as there are some great restuarants that you could access really easily, for example, Fultons (the paddlesteamer in the DTD lagoon). If you have a car there are some great offsite restaurants that we go to every trip.

i have to say though, some of my most romantic memories with my husband have involved grabbing an earl of sandwich and wandering around the lake, taking a slow stroll to cirque :goodvibes
