Planning a Cruise

My husband and I have decided to do a Disney Cruise for our 20th Anniversary in June 2017. It looks like we won't be able to book until March. We are planning a Carribean trip- not sure yet Eastern or Western.we will have our three teenagers with us - they will be 17, 15 and 13 at the time. We are trying to decide if we should get a verrandah deck and all share a room or get two adjoining insides. My son will be 15 at the time and is already over 6', and he would be the one to sleep on the sofa bed if we had the insides. I'm wondering how he would fit in the bunks as well- he claims he can sleep anywhere but if he grows much more he may disagree. I'm so excited and can't wait to book,but I need to decide exactly what we want haha.

We've only been on one cruise and it was several years ago on a Carnival ship- can't wait to go again!

With three teens, you'd be a lot more comfortable with two connecting rooms. Twice the closet/storage space, and two bathrooms.

Five in a room with older teenagers I would think would be tough. When we took teenagers, we got adjoining cabins and kids had their own room, bathrooms, etc. they alternated who got the big bed each night and it worked out well.

I needed the affirmation on two rooms my husband is leaning toward a verandah, because we had one before. I think I was the only one who ever used it though, and that's because I would get up so much earlier then everyone else. I love the idea of two bathrooms, i keep reminding him the kids were little when we went before and even then one bathroom was tough when everyone is wanting to wash sunscreen and sand off.

I like the idea of alternating beds; both my daughters are tiny, so really they should be comfortable any where, my son is the only one who would need extra leg room.

I have heard of people that get one verandah and also get an inside directly across the hall for the teenagers. That way you get the balcony to hang out on but the kids get thier own room and bath.

This is what we are doing next cruise. It barely cost more than a Family Verandah room. totally worth it but we use the verandah a ton. And I have to have natural light.

We've been on 4 cruises so far the first 3 were connecting insides and our most recent was in a Cat 4a verandah. We have 2 teens a 15 yo boy and 14 yo girl. At the end of the verandah cruise all 4 of us agreed to go back to the 2 insides, we all love having our private spaces and the 2 bathrooms make a huge difference.

We do two insides or one inside/one ocean view. We are in a similar situation. It would be very hard for us to do one room even for a veranda.
