Hi,
We first went to Disney in Feb. 2001 and are now planning second trip, but I have two questions maybe someone can help with.
First we hope to go 8th-22nd November returning to England the weekend before Thanksgiving as everything I have seen so far suggests the parks will be fairly quiet at this time - does anyone have any experience of this?
Secondly we need a private villa with pool (I am disabled hence we need to go when it will not be too busy) and I have narrowed it down to a choice of two, British Airways (used last time and good) or Virgin (never used before but slightly cheaper) - has anyone any comments that might be helpful in making a decision.

thanks.

I can't help with how busy the parks are at that time of year - I'm sure others will provide feedback - but on the choice of operator have you thought about booking flights, villa, car hire, etc all separately. Sometimes this will work out a little cheaper than a complete package, and gives you complete control over location of villa, choice of facilities, etc. Many of us book our WDW holidays independently, and there will be lots of advice on where to look for good prices.

Regards

Rob

Hi Sue,

I haven't been to Orlando that late in November, but I'm sure it is one of the quietest periods, in November and before Thanksgiving.

As for the difference in BA and Virgin,I don't think theres too much in it.I haven't flown BA to Orlando but it seems BA is slightly better in economy than Virgin from what I've read on here. But if Virgin was cheaper I would go with them:)

Have you found a suitable villa?

Woo-hoo Sue !! This is a great time to go. Stayed at this time of year in 1998 and in 2000 and it was great - the quietest I've ever seen the parks with some really nice weather too - although a little chilly at night.

Forgot to say "hi" and welcome to the DIS

Search the internet and book your own villa, a lot cheaper.

We fly with Virgin next week and have a 2 week stay at a Luxury villa for £850, booked through the brochure would cost over £1000.

Try : villas2000.com

Never been in November but I reckon it's a great time to visit.

Sue hi there, I have a son who has multiple disabilities, life can be made easier with the disney GAC pass(guest assistance pass), you didnt say what your disability was, but feel free to PM or email me. failing this help is at hand on the DISabilities board the link is here on the main page..

Hi Sue
We first went to Orlando in Feb 2001 as well. We booked that trip all through Virgin. This time we are going in October and I have booked it all seperatley. I booked the flights through Bon-vouage (Virgin flights) and I brought a Villa magazine and hunted for the right villa for us in that. I also then booked the car hire through Bon- voyage as they were doing a special deal. I have never flown to Orlando with BA so I cant comment on them. But Virgin were very good:D

Thanks for all your suggestions we will look into the possibility of booking separately. I will also be looking at the disabilities board. now I've foudn this site I'm sure I will be making good use of it.

Hi Sue:)
My first trip to WDW was 5th Nov - 19th 1996 so very similar time:)

The parks were very quiet with very little queuing, by day the weather was perfect...not too hot & humid, but plenty warm enough to do Blizzard Beach and the pools:)

By night, as Sam says, it could get a little chilly so needed a light jacket or fleece.

It was a lovely time of year to go, especially for a first trip:)
