We have called DVC to purhcase SSR. My guide will call me Tuesday to put in application. We are curently booked at CBR with the dining package and tickets. Can I still get the dinning package with DVC. How does this work? My other question is once i put the deposit down the 500.00 can I make Reservations? I hope I can airfare is already paid. Thanks for the help this is all new to me.

Yes, you can get the Dining Package added to a points reservation for one of the DVC resorts. You must ask MS to add it to the reservation before you arrive. You cannot add the Dining Plan at check in. You do pay for the DP at check in (not in advance), though. With DVC reservations, there is no need to buy tickets or stay a minimum number of days to add the Dining Package. Keep in mind that if you make a points reservation at a non-DVC resort, you cannot add the Dining Plan.

My understanding is that once DVC has your deposit, you can make DVC resort reservations. Ask your guide to be 100% sure. Of course, any reservation is subject to availability.

I'm sure you already know that there may be penalties for canceling the CBR package if you do it too close to arrival. Consider this a reminder to check that out before you take any action.

You can buy your park tickets at check in if you like. Or you can buy them ahead of time from one of the discount brokers. Either way, the CM at the front desk can put new (unused) tickets on the room key if you prefer to have everything on one card.

You can make reservations (and use them) as soon as you are issued a member ID. My understanding is that this happens once you have paid your 10% downpayment.

I'm not sure what hapens in terms of recieving a member ID if you are only putting down a partial deposit and paying the rest in a month or two. My hunch is that you won't recieve an ID until the whole 10% is paid - but maybe someone knows for sure.

I'm in my window for canceling the CBR for no charge. But we still aren't sure about the financing. We would like to go the longest term and pay extra when we have it. I haven't asked her what the rates where she did say 1,5 and 10 year. I'm liking the 10 year but not sure if there is a point limit with the 10 year?

I believe the point limit is the same no matter how you finance your purchase - minimum 150 points to buy in, 25 point minimum for cash add-ons, 75 point minimum for financed add-ons.
