Planner Swap- Progress Thread- Mailed back to you- post as they arrive

OK, so in order to be up front I want everyone to know we are supposed to get a direct hit from hurricane Irene. If DH can get home quick enough we are going to pack up the RV and leave the area. I will be taking my personal photos, my computer, and any sentimental items with me but I am leaving my scrap supplies behind.
I don't expect anything bad to happen with the house, but in the event that it does I just want to let everyone know my intentions up front. We are only 30 minutes inland so the possibility of damage is very high.

I will keep everyone posted as much as I can in the coming days but I'm going to be focusing on getting the house and the kids prepared.

Please keep the East Coasters in your thoughts and prayers, this one is going to be a doozy!

Buffy- stay safe and keep your family safe- that is the first priority- anything else can be worked out. Anyone else in the path stay safe too- it is definately a higher priority than any swap stuff at the moment.

Rebecca, were you here for Gloria in 85? It's going to be worse than that!

I've got my scrap room packed and documented, next up the kitchen!

Glad to see you've got your priorities right :thumbsup2 Prayers for all those in the path.... I'm watching the news every day:grouphug:

Yes- the eye went down the street where we lived. It was dad's 1 day of duty a year at the academy- so he was gone. He was always gone when we were hit by hurricanes- one in Hawaii, Glory in CT, Andrew in Miami, he was around during the hurricane season of tons a few years ago when Charlie came through but it wasn't near mom and dad's it was close to our place (we went to mom and dad's cause it was safer.

I've done a dummy run and can get two grids on a page ok:thumbsup2 but I'm a bit concerned the paper is too thin - I've got cranberry pages for one and royal blue for the other. But if I print on white cardstock will it make it too thick when mounted on the other layer?

Views please?:confused3 TIA

2 layers should not make it too thick- if you are concerned you should be able to keep the calendar off the gutter edge of the paper anyway- just cut right around it and it is smaller than the page by about 1/2 and inch. I always printed the ones I have done on white cardstock and mounted them onto another sheet of cardstock.

My dad had to report to base too so we went up to Mass to stay with family. My brother was only a few weeks old at the time so mom wasn't risking it! We lived right across the street from Ocean Beach, and were in the middle of renovating the house my parents currently own. One wall only had plastic sheeting on it, we were certain the house would be destroyed but all was well. We only lost 3 trees.

I'm done:thumbsup2 I'll try to post pics later (DH is clucking to use the PC) but I should be postal on Saturday :goodvibes

Just need to set aside the time, have everything I need. Just gone back to work after 13 month off and my boss is off sick so have had loads to do so will welcome some craft time!

Checking in -- still at same spot as before, paper has been purchased and item is designed on my computer. I will be cutting and pasting after I finish with the color swap.

checking in. We will be home Saturday or Sunday. I have to take all the stuff out of the craft room that we pulled from the basement but these are first up on my list for Crafting Wednesday.

Checking in--everything is cut, I just need to assemble.

I'll be postal tomorrow -just sent DS's down to buy some more brown paper.

Hope you like them! It was quite a challenge finding decoration which didn't make the pages thicker and wouldn't press through onto other pages.

So cute! I love Donald's pose!

I'm dying to start putting mine together -- only one more color group before I am free to play with my planner pages!

I have all my paper. The cut files are planned in scal, and my replacement blade for my cricut is here. I'm hoping to start cutting this weekend.

Mazda- Those look great!

Thanks to everyone for checking in- as soon as my internet stops dropping every few minutes I will get everything updated on the first page. I have tried twice and each time I get dropped before I can post.
