Hi! i'm from Hong Kong and i'm planing my solo trip to WDW this late Sept!!:cool1:
i want to keep my trip in budget because the airfare is already not cheap so i'll stay in motel in Kissimmee,
is it okay to take LYNX bus to and from Disney and Universal?
Cause i'm afraid buses are not on time and consume a lot of time in travel...

Hi! I am also going on a solo trip to WDW in September! It'll be my first solo trip and the planning has been fun. I'll be there 23-28 staying at Port Orleans Riverside Royal Room.

i have been driving public transportation for the past 13 yrs in san diego our system is mess up don't know about orlando if you want to get to a destination at a certain time allow at lease 2 hrs so say you want to get to disney at 12 pm you leave at 10 am that will allow you some wait time transfer points and travel time and make sure to check the time for the last bus leaving the resort they may not run so late as for safety i deal with alot of people from homeless, gang members, and comuters you want to dress down like jeans, shorts no valuebles clothing expensive cameras things like that if someone ask for money just say i don't have any money and walk away from them and sit near the driver most fights break out near the rear seats and door if you feel uncomfortable stand next to the bus driver behind the yellow line he should give you a warning to sit down but you have the right to stand and hang onto the handrails as long as your behind the line if you follow this you should not have any problems with public transportation just remember keep a low profile you'll be fine

I have taken the Lynxx buses a few times, to and from Kissime. The 2 hour time, its not that far off. I would say 1 to 1 and half hours depending on where your staying. The Buses make a lot of stops!. Safety wise, your OK probably more then anywhere else because your not alone, theirs a lot of tourist right along with you making those trips. Just a bit of warning a lot of the hotels/motels offer shuttles. Now we did this and it was a disaster. The bus drivers would come late or not at all or one time they had a driver that did not know his way around LOL. I laugh about it now but was not happy then. So if you do, and really they might be better now, who knows, just be aware of the inconsistency of the shuttles.
