Where exactly is Planet Hollywood? Is it in Pleasure Island? And if so, does it not open until 7:00 at night?

Planet Hollywood is technically considered in the West Side of DTD, however it is on the end nearest to PI(not inside PI though). If you are worried about missing it, dont. You cant miss it. Its a HUGE earth. ;)
They definitely open before 7:00. I believe they are even open for lunch so Im guessing the opening time is around 11:00 am, but I cant say for sure. Im sure someone else will have the exact opening time for you.

Thanks. Would we need a PS to eat there as well? Thought we might just stop in there while in DTD

Youre welcome.

I dont know what the current procedure is. When we tried making a PS for a visit in July we were told they were only taking PS for after 10:00pm. We were told we could get a card at our resorts Guest Services desk that would give us preferred seating. We were able to do this and when we arrived we gave the card and only had to wait a few minutes. The card also got us a free Chicken Crunch appetizer. If this is still the procedure that would work great for you. If not, you could still try without a PS, but you may have a wait. Going at an off time would probably help reduce the wait time. Enjoy!

We'll try that. We have been to other Planet Hollywoods and the food was pretty good plus I have a discount coupon and anywhere I can use a coupon and save a couple bucks is a bonus. We are going the week before Easter so it will probably be a zoo no matter what time we go but we would definately try to eat there earlier since dd is 5.

They get VERY busy the later it gets. If you go early you probably will have a short wait. I would get the card though just in case, espescially if you can get the free appetizer. We love Planet Hollywood. The LA lasagna is my fave!

We went to Planet Hollywood the last time we were at Disney and we walked right in for dinner. We might have had to wait 15 minutes. There was no line and there were no PS. We love their cheeseburgers...yummy!

I suppose you'll have to go once, but I wouldn't recommend it. First and only time we went , the food was lousy, overpriced, the wait was too long, the service stunk, and the place was obnoxious. If you do go, at least do lunch when it isn't that busy

PH is great fun, and the appetizers are amazing~! No PS here....just give them your name and hang out in the lobby or at the cool bar....! Wander and check out all the cool things everywhere! The drinks are great and how awesome is the shrimp ceasar salad?! OMG

I went there during the week before Dec. 2002 with my 70yo Mom and we loved it. It is very loud, but very entertaining. We had no trouble getting seated (didn't have PS) and we enjoyed our food (hamburgers and shakes). The only bad thing I can remember is the stairs leading up to the restaurant, my MOM had to stop several times. Definitely go as early as possible, we went around 2:00pm, by the time we left it was starting to get really busy. Have a great time! :flower1:

We ate at planet hollywood this Dec. just so we could say we have "been there". The food was good, but nothing revolutionary. The prices were high, but not unheard of. The atmosphere is loud, and visually active, but I enjoy that. I also liked looking around at all the memorobillia/movie props etc. Its worth the stop if you have the available cash and time.

I've been to a number of PHs. I'd say if you've been to others then you should skip this one. It's nothing special food-wise and some of the cooler objects on display are the oversized vehicles that are right outside... Otherwise it's the same as any other, and maybe a tad bit more expensive.

There are tons of places more interesting to eat (with better food) all over the property, IMHO.

Mind you if you are a PH junkie and must have your fix, there is nothing wrong with this one, and it is enjoyable with the usual food.

Hated it, hated it, hated it!!! By the way, did I mention that I hated it. I think WDW should be embarrassed that they have such a poor establishment on their premises. After we were called we were told to stand in a certain spot-which was the wrong place-and several tables were seated before us. They crammed the 5 of us into a table that was for 3 at the most. The table behind me was so close and the man sitting there was so large that I had to sit completely upright with my stomach squished into our table to fit-and I'm really skinny. The food was terrible, the service vvvvveeeerrryyy slow. The prices were outrageous. The kids meals were $8 and the beverage wasn't included. Don't get me wrong, we splurge on meals at WDW-ate at O'Hanas, Prime Time, Chef Mickey's, Fantasmic Dinner Pkg and dropped big bucks so I don't feel like I'm overstating when I say they were overpriced. After our meal we all agreed that we should have eaten at the MCD at DTD and would have had a better meal.
