I have been reading and there seems to be alot of bad reviews about Planet Hollywood. I have seen the pics. of the food and it looks really great x pecially the ribs and dessert . I think this would be fun to do on MGM day since it has the whole mivie theme. This is our first trip and DH is letting me decide everything:) :cloud9: So what is everyones opinion. Thanks JEn

actually, planet hollywood was our favorite place to use the dining plan other than the poly luau. The food was very good , no complaints at all. We had the bruschetta and parmesan dip appetizers. The ny strip steak and southwestern salad. The desserts were awesome. we had the ghiradelli brownie and the strawberry cheesecake. we were not dissapointed at all and when we saw what we would've paid without the plan we were very happy! i'm planning on going this year and trying something else, definitely the bananas foster cheesecake!

We always have good meals here, and all of the negative posts surprise me. That brownie sundae was great. It is HUGE!

We really like Planet Hollywood and always eat there at least once. The tostados are really really good, and the brownie sundae is amazing.
One tip: only order entrees after you have finished your appetizers because on two occasions the entrees have arrived before we finished the appetizers.

the food is really yummy, i had the la lasagne last year and we are going again in september. the only thing is how busy it gets, i would recommend booking because the queue often comes down the stairs and is over an hours wait.

xx

We loved Planet Hollywood! I would eat there again without giving it a second thought- My teen aged daughters found plenty to choose from, at many restaurants they had outgrown the mac & cheese or chicken fingers from the children's menu but weren't quite adventurous enough for lots of the fare on adult menus. we all had a great time

Put me down for another Planet Hollywood liker.

The we've had the steaks, ribs, LA Lasagna, fajitas, roasted chicken and chicken alfredo pasta there. They were all very tasty, well seasoned, and well cooked. The two outstanding items were really the ribs and Lasagna.

The appetizers are some of the best - the chicken crunch fingers, the tostadas, the potato skins, the zuchini chips. They have such a large selection to choose from.

That's another reason why I like Planet Hollywood - it has a really large menu. Truthfully pretty much no matter what you want, it's somewhere on the menu (except a quiet dining experience - that you can't get).

We've been pretty lucky with servers as well, constant refills, checking on the meals to ensure they were correct and acceptable, smiles.

We like to have an early dinner reservation around 4 - 4:30 pm.

We loved Planet Hollywood when we went on a whim. The environment was a blast, a nice change of pace for us, and the food was fantastic. Portions were large, we brought a lot back to our room.

Appetizers were great, I think I had the chicken fingers or something like that. Had a steak and cheese for the meal and then of course, dessert was fantastic.

Two thumbs up.

I'm so glad to read some positive reviews of Planet Hollywood, as we have ADRs for there one night next week! DD16 and I have been looking forward to trying it! Quick question about exactly where the restaurant is located...if we are using the Disney bus system, would we get off at Downtown Disney, near the World of Disney and all those shops, or somewhere else?

I am so happy to hear all these great reviews. We are trying PH for the first time in August. The pics of the food look great, so I figured we'd try it despite the poor reviews. I think of all the Disney retaurants, the PH menu is the one with the most choices that will interest my kids.

I have been reading and there seems to be alot of bad reviews about Planet Hollywood.

Disney had been giving coupons to their guests in an attempt to bring business back to PH. Many issues there. Food is okay, atmosphere is fun but loud and overrated and young servers tend to be somewhat aloof with attending to patrons. It is a real let down after experiencing disney service.

If I was 16 - 18 years old I suppose the atmosphere would drown out the service and marginal food for me. Save your money and go to rainforest.

My DH and I did not like it when we went. We would not go again. It was so crowded and tight and very loud. The service wasn't anything to write home about, and the food was just blah. Now, that's just two opinions. We love to try different places regardless of what anyone says. You may love it! If it's somewhere you've been wanting to try, go for it.

I have talked to a lot people on the DIS who didn't like it but we love it and are going there the night we check! Can't wait!! In addition, we are skipping the Rainforest Cafe because the last two times we went the food was cold and not all that tasty, and the service was terrible. We have never had a bad meal or bad service at Planet Hollywood.

We try to eat there each trip on our last day. We have always had great meals. The ribs are great!

We really like it as well! So must other because I tried to make an ADR today for Aug. 20 and the only times they had available for dinner for two were 5:30 and 10:15! I was floored! I really wanted one some time around the 7PM hour.

Was actually our favorite of the trip, loved it so much we cancelled 50sPT and went back to Planet Hollywood, that Ghiradelli Sundae is to die for:cloud9:
