Hiya all

Could someone please tell me? I want to take a cross-stitch kit onto the plane to make the 9 hours go quicker, will security take my needle out of the kit? I figure that scissors will defo be banned as l had them taken out of a first aid kit before!

thanks :thumbsup2

The best thing to do is give your airline a call, tell them exactly what is in the kit and see what they say or try looking at the Virgin Atlantic website. It is under the section passenger information and then baggage.

I think I've read that you can take small, round ended scissors on the plane :sunny:

I was allowed to take small round end scirssors on the plane last year - but they took away the needle so just had to sit and look at the cross-stitch!!! and hope that my mind power would do the sewing :rotfl2:

Just a thought, would they not let you take one of those plastic needles that kid's use for them instead. Not sure where you would get them from but my dd's have quite a few that they have got out of cross stitch for kid's.

Just let you know that I had been travelling to Australia and I brought cross stitches with me, it was no problem but I never bring sissor as I put it in cases. I just carry on cross stitches.

I am going to Florida two week times, so I bring cross stitches with me cos it is my favourite hobby. Remember don't bring sissor in your bag. Just neddle that is all

Have a great times at Florida :thumbsup2
