Is there a certain time of the week when fares may be lower than other days? I have heard Tuesdays. I should have booked yesterday. a round trip on Delta & AirTran was $183.00 from Atlanta to Orlando and today it is $229.00. Bummer:mad: I'll just have to check everyday. I'm not flying until December.

Nope - no special date, time, phase of the moon. None of that matters. Its all about how that particular flight is looking right now. The airlines change prices almost dynamically (ie constantly) based on their projections of bookings. Keep an eye on your flight and you may see it go down tomorrow, or Monday, or not.

There are absolutely no set rules for airfares. Airlines can offer sales at any time, and often they match one another when a sale is offered. However, the rule of thumb is that Tuesdays are often a good day to check, as they often update their fares on those dates. However, do not ever count on that. Today, the lowest fares from ATL to MCO are 230/RT. However, they have been as low as 138/RT in the past 4 weeks. I wouldn't pull the trigger this early unless you can get 160/RT or less.

Good luck!
